Miss Universe 2022 FAVORITES & FINAL PICKS
******************************************
You must've known by now that I am very much particular with Beauty of Face. Luckily, this year, we are flooded with beautiful faces; so I had to concentrate more on charisma, over-all impact, performance in preliminaries, some secret 'chi-chis' from the inside, and some personal biases (yeah, not gonna lie).

ALMOST THERE
******************************************
PERU - Statuesque and modelesque. She is't weak; but there are more girls showing the hunger to win than her. Possible Top 16.
MEXICO - Performance-wise in prelims, she should be up there; plus Telemundo backing her up. But I can't seem to like her. Not impressed much of her beauty.
ANGOLA - Another performer. Has decent interview skills. Won't be surprised if she makes it.
BAHRAIN - Her training paid off. The confidence is there on-stage and if the org wants to make a noise (a good one), she might be up there.
OTHERS: Brazil, India,France, Trinidad & Tobago, Honduras, Ghana, Portugal

TOP 16
*****************************************
******************************************
16
ICELAND
******************************************
Adorable face and a good enough performance. If some plates are reserved for Europe, she should be up there.
******************************************
15
ARUBA
******************************************
With that beauty and memorable performance in prelims, plus her commendable communication skills, there is no way this girl won't make it being better than her predecessor who made it last year.
******************************************
14
ITALY
******************************************
Hot as a model, cold as a beauty pageant contestant. Not impressive performance I expected of her but that face will save her.
******************************************
13
THAILAND
******************************************
Everyone knows she will perform; and she did; however, she has several facial/eye movements that lessens her impact in a weird way. I can't imagine a backlash to Anne if Thailand won't be called.
******************************************
12
SOUTH AFRICA
******************************************
Well rounded candidate. Has all the goods but have a feeling she won't go further than 1st cut. (I may be wrong, though).
******************************************
11
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
******************************************
Whatever is fueling her to perform her best since she arrived, she gotta keep it coming and continue shutting my mouth after me saying she won't make an impact.
******************************************
10
GERMANY
******************************************
The best from Europe. When her group, while walking the stage together, her graceful pasarela made her a stand-out. Might even go further up.
******************************************
9
VENEZUELA
******************************************
I like her sustainable advocacy, but at the same time, it is ruining her fashion sense and impact.
******************************************
8
MAURITIUS
******************************************
One of the most elegant and graceful ladies in the bunch. I will not forgive Paula & Emmy if they won't let her in just because she is Mauritius.
******************************************
7
VIETNAM
******************************************
Another graceful and elegant woman who is so much an upgrade from the last 3 Vietnamese representatives. Has high chance of moving further considering SS & EG are the basis for the next cut. I really wished she didn't do that hand movements in EG, though and I am expecting a better gown for finals coz I know Vietnamese designers can deliver.
******************************************
6
COLOMBIA
******************************************
My pre-arrival winner. Versatile. Can look stunning in any hairstyle. Did pretty well during the prelims; but why is she low on my list? Rumour has it that she messed up her Closed Door interview. Hope she redeems herself come finals.
******************************************
5
PUERTO RICO
******************************************
One of the best performers in prelims. No doubt she would do well in these aspects. What might prevent her moving up are her lack of charisma, not so much versatile styling (her jet black hair suits her best and I understand she has kept that most of the time because if she pulls her hair up, it ages her look). And one more thing, I hoped she didn't do that 'No English' strategy coz it might hurt her chances.
******************************************
4
JAMAICA
******************************************
Has been doing and registering to fans around the world extremely well. Might be another Top 3 or 1st victory for Jamaica. Hope the judges see what we see in this stunning queen.
******************************************
2ND RUNNER UP
PHILIPPINES
******************************************
The face of this edition. Full stop. Non-Pinoy fans/media people who watched it live are in unison praising her beauty. What I am tentative of Celeste is the fact that I am not seeing the calibre I saw in MUP. She is definitely holding back. If she is reserving it for the finals, hope she still has the opportunity to actually show it.

1ST RUNNER UP
USA
******************************************
I know, I know, many will raise their eyebrows on this list. LOL. The girl is in it to win it, she did pretty well and a lot better than her nationals. I must admit though that this ranking of her is heavily influenced by the impression of the people who was there in the venue who was saying she could win it all. That, if the CONTROVERSY surrounding her national win won't shut her of a Top 16.
******************************************
MISS UNIVERSE
CURACAO
******************************************
I am a sucker for countries winning the fist time; albeit, a small island like Curacao. I don't even need to elaborate her presentation and communication skills. Just see it for yourselves! She has the hunger in her eyes to bring home the crown! Covid could not stop her. I feel like she has the same prototype of beauty as Harnaaz (not the race) and I believe she can turn the story 180 degrees to a successful and celebrated one.
******************************************
GOOD LUCK LADIES!!
