MUO will need to cover its own hosting fees in France.

MAY BE THE DEAL WAS BETWEEN PRIVATE FRENCH COMPANY OR ORG AND NOT MISS FRANCE ORG? PERHAPS? I MEAN MISS ISRAEL ORG DIDNT SPONSOR THE MISS UNIVERSE AT ISRAEL!
Is that the franchise fee for Miss Universe? The.Apprentice wrote:It probably won't. Sylvie Tellier refused to pay the 14 million USD to Paula and said it won't happen anytime soon.
Maybe, given that it was historically the sister pageant of Miss France and was also created by Maurice de Waleffe (the original creator of Miss France).Arduina wrote:Not gonna happen.
BUT
They might be talking about Miss Europe that supposedly is under work from the MFO.
Both countries are different, though. Miss Israel’s organizers aren’t that rich to fully sponsor Miss Universe 2021 but the MUO allowed their competing titleholder to have some exposure. France, on the other hand, is probably expected by the MUO to have Miss France’s organizers sponsor it because Miss France is known for being one of the best pageants in the world and producing winners that have placed high (especially Iris who won it all). Miss France’s organizers might not have to be the only sponsor but I guess the MUO wants them to give their contributions to this, if ever.cabra_chupa wrote:The.Apprentice wrote:It probably won't. Yup. and I think they would have to expect Miss France to have a hand in this. Miss Universe doesn’t even air on the same channel as Miss France airs, although the former winners who have competed in Miss Universe act as the local color commentators when it airs in France. It airs on a channel called “Paris Premiere”. The color commentator this year was Amandine Petit (Miss France 2021), who competed for the 2020 pageant and placed in the top 21. She was accompanied by Flora Coquerel, who gave their highest placement (Top 5) in 2015, although she did not place in Miss World 2014.Fany wrote:France doesn’t need MUO to polish its image. To be honest, I would love to see this happen. However, I would prefer it to take place in October to avoid schedule conflicts.jhunz23 wrote:That will be awesome!
Miss France pageant is REALLY HUGE in France
I hope they bring same Energy to Miss Universe.
So Ms France was always in Mid-December, they have to make Miss Universe in late November or Early December.
Dear, that post came from what I believe to be an organizer of the Miss Universe pageant from Israel. It doesn’t mean Miss Universe will be immediately held in France, but the organizers are desiring it to be there. Many people love the idea because of the significance of the country in Miss Universe and their national pageant (which sends the winner usually to Miss Universe) is always applauded for their gorgeous production.Blanche wrote:Please stop posting ridiculous gossip unless you have concrete proof.

Sadly, the organizers on the French side declined since it is too expensive for them to do so - as said by a French fan above, their national director (Sylvie Tellier, Miss France 2002, who competed in Miss Universe 2002 in Puerto Rico) declined the offer, which would be amounting to $14 million dollars.
