Honestly, what was Haiti doing in the Top20??? At the cost of some real hunks like Romania, Brazil and Morocco??? I don't care how well he performed in the close-door interview, this guy shouldn't have been there.
And Indonesia?? I don't even know where to start. I was very confident that the fan vote winner would probably be Nepal considering their voting power at Miss World. But guess that doesn't register well at MSO. My heart was broken when Greece and Colombia were left out. They truly deserved a higher placement than Top20. MSO should seriously think of getting rid of an automatic entry into Top10 via fan vote.

Really yes. The fan voting to top 10 is too much.
The same country won that in both Miss and Mister. It will be the same in the next years.
Haiti because of the recent catastrophe that struck in there?
I am not sure but his placement surprised me as well.

I don’t have issues with Indonesia winning the fan votes, but to put him (and also the girl) straight to Top 10 is a BIG QUESTION.
Did MSO inform publicly that the winner will go straight to Top 10/12?
If yes, then that is just fair.
If not, then they are definitely giving UNFAIR advantage to iNOnesia.

Fan votes should never come into place on the final night. They should be used to give a spot to a contestant before the final show. So I'm OK with it if it's in the TOP 20 (or 15 depending on the pageant). But to add the fan vote to the TOP 10 is ridiculous and it's a precedent no pageant should want. They also had the option of making it a TOP 11 or 12 with the fan vote. I'm OK with that, but to take away a spot from a more deserving contestant to give it to fans' pick is not good.
But I'm suspicious of MS at this point. I think the organization may be questionable. Something about this year feels off, both in the Miss and Mister competitions.
They may still be crowning deserving contestants (Namibia and Peru are quite worthy) but I think many of the other spots in the TOP 10 are going to the highest bidder. I didn't want to say this but I've been told that Malta (in Mister Supra) is looked upon quite favorably by MS and will be in the future.

I don't see how being gay affects the ways of any male pageant, unless the gay contestant violates any moral standard set up by the organizers. By now, we should already know if any moral misconduct has happened offline--but I doubt that these millennial gentlemen would even care for any of this.
My bigger concern is not about Mexico being gay, but about him being unable to project well on stage: he looked so stiff and nervous. He wasted his chance. Also, Netherlands' wardrobe allows him to claim Haiti's Top 20 spot: this contest, anyway, places a premium on wardrobe presentation. But both are miles away from Ecuador, who should have been there instead of Haiti to begin with.
