Many netizens criticized Carousel by posting Hotel Sogo as sponsor for MPE 2022 but we did not know that this "controversial" hotel was actually one of the hotels helped find a home for frontliners (doctors and nurses) during the Enhanced Community Quarantine/lockdown 2 years ago and continued to innovate the new normal standards until now.

I think the reason why they find it controversial is because of the hotel chain’s stereotypes amongst Filipinos, according to my research. It’s worth to know that they did help in at least housing doctors, nurses, and health workers in order to fight the virus, although the sad thing is Filipinos think that they are choosing a hotel with some funny stereotypes related to sexual stuff is “awful”.

I knew that story about Hotel Sogo before but when I saw a comment about Hotel Sogo's big contribution during the COVID-19 lock down, then I decided to post in order to clear some jinx about that hotel.

My family used Sogo for a night. It was nice, safe, clean and cheap. Food was nice too and service was quick.

I think Sogo wants to rebrand and change the misconception about their chain of hotels.

I used to work with the owners daughter here in Cali. I didnt know about Sogo until one of my co-workers told me about it.
