Miss Earth prediction game much easier for the forumers

Postby ajsy0203 » Sun May 16, 2021 10:23 am

Since MEO introduced the transparency into the pre-judging rounds in 2017 especially on the preliminary interviews, I felt most of us was able to pick the right winner of the pageant because we can see more of their performance thru three rounds of pre-judging competition: Beauty of Face, Fitness, Form & Poise and Intelligence & Environmental Awareness. Miss Earth 2020 prediction game was the best results in recent prediction games history with only one contestant got the automatic zero points and most of the contestants predict the right order of Miss Earth, Miss Earth-Air and Miss Earth-Water winners.

I agree. It is now easier to predict who will be part of the Top 20 since MEO opened the 3 preliminary rounds to the public. That's why when India clapped in 2019 I was not surprised at all. She only excelled in Intelligence and Environmental Knowledge round.

Is it better for MEO to be mysterious in some aspect of the pageant and let the interview be closed door?

For me not bad if they will do that. You want to generate buzz, anticipation, speculation & excitement to fans.

Some fans will still accuse Miss Earth of favoritism. Damn if you do and damn if you dont.

Previous to us being able to watch the interview segment, the earthworms would raise hell whenever a much hyped delegate was left behind. Since then, I rarely hear complaints about the semifinalists. So allowing us to witness the women’s interviews is one of the best moves made by the MEO. Nowadays, when someone complains about a delegate’s non-placement, we just point them out to the segment where she did rather poorly and that usually shuts them up. :%))

Miss Earth 2020 Prediction Game
Highest Score: 6,300 points
Number of Zero Rule Victim: 1

Miss Universe 2020 Prediction Game
Highest Score: 4,535 points
Number of Zero Rule Victim: 11

I think the long virtual pre-pageant activities and transparent pre-judging gave Miss Earth 2020 best prediction game results in recent history. 18 of them scored higher than the winner of Miss Universe 2020 Prediction Game.

It has pros and cons. Good thing is Miss Earth is the most transparent and fair pageant of all.

Still prefer the interview to be shown, it is more transparent and at the same time we learn a thing or two from the discussion.

In addition, more and more countries are sending all-around competitive delegates each year so the excitement of who will make it is actually heightened.

I don't join prediction games but yes, I think it really helps formers understand why certain candidates don't place. We get to see some surprises then we go back to the preliminaries and understand immediately why.

I remember the last two Indian candidates. I really want them to place so bad but the figure and poise is usually their downfall. Hopefully they will be given more time to prepare.
