Update from the Miss Universe Organization on social media that they released a list of the latest National Directors who have sign their 2023 contracts.
Surprisingly, as of May 2, not only the debut of Pakistan and the returns of Guyana and New Zealand, we saw 7 more countries that are expecting to make their returns to Miss Universe. These include:
Zimbabwe, last competed in 2001;
Latvia, last competed in 2006, expected to compete last year but failed due to COVID;
Bangladesh, Egypt, and Mongolia, last competed in 2019;
Hungary & Ireland, last competed in 2021.
Also, remember the Miss Universe Slovak Republic fiasco not so long ago, well good news! The Miss Management A.S. is now the ND, and the franchise is here to stay.
So far, this is good news for all. Hopefully we get to see more.
