Since Iris Mittenaere won 65th Miss Universe, no other European beauties made it to the Top 5 in the succeeding editions. Also since 69th Miss Universe, only France and Great Britain made it to the first cut and while the rest of European delegates like heavy favorites Romania in the 69th edition & Spain and Belgium in the 70th edition ended up as clappers.

Do you think these competitive European delegates will finally break the losing streak at 71st Miss Universe under JKN era and regained their dominance at the semifinals in the past especially during the 2009 edition where 9 European delegates made it to the Top 15?

In my opinion, it will really depend on whether the European delegates perform well. I can see Italy making their first final five finish, and Floriane Bascou (France) might make a surprise when she competed back in Miss France 2022 against Diane Leyre (and ended up being the first runner-up). Spain might also finally place, which would be a good thing.

The final years of Trump Era saw the dominance of European candidates in the semifinals especially in 2009 but when IMG Era came only 1-2 European candidates made the cut without the continental quota. With the continental quota that was introduced in 2017-2019, no European candidates made it to the wildcard selection (which was dominated by the candidates from Asia-Pacific and The Americas).

I don't get it. Why should the new JKN Owner/org draw inspiration from the olden days of Trump and IMG model/brand? What good or fresh mandate would that create? Can't JKN build on their corporate mission and business strategy and bring something new at the table rather than be a clone and cheap copycat of its predecessors? Are you hinting that the new ownership might be beyond capable of achieving what they've wanted to start with in the interim? To each his own. Just stop romanticizing the old unexciting ways. Trump era and IMG both have run their race ... they've been up there for sometime and would have achieved what they should but failed over time suggesting that anything up there would have no place else to go any further but down eventually. And the cycle continues. Know that!

Floriane's preparation is a total blackout here in France. Seems they picked her up to punish Diane and then let her be on her own. Last week they put her on TV / newspaper and the only result is that nobody knew who she was on TV (she was part of a youth panel on a game and at some point, they asked a question about Miss France (what region does Diane Leyre come from) and introduced Floriane on a 30 seconds focus (the shade of the question is not lost, that was not nice to her).

She had an interview with a TV program magazine and the only thing people remember of it is that she seemed arrogant (and we do not like that here). She said that she'll do better than M'Bappé and bring the crown home. So yeah ... nothing against her but there is a huge chance we might clap.

She has a huge fan base from Martinique though, but they don't seem to understand that there is no massive national voting at Miss Universe like there is at Miss France. I don't know whether she could get the fan vote, I don't think they could jeopardize voting from the usual massive voter countries. So yeah ... She came from nowhere last year, again, she is gorgeous but her Q&A was a disaster, she asked for her question to be repeated because she wasn't focused and didn't even realized she was asked the question the first time.

She is beautiful, but I am not a fan of her fans (they spent 2022 bullying Diane and even claimed her punishment was deserved as Floriane was supposedly the actual winner Delusional lot these persons.

She had the usual training (make-up, hair, styling) with Arnaud this fall. And I guess they tried to push her into TV for a tiny accelerated media training, hence the recent interviews. But that could never compare to what an actual Miss France has all year long.

She had a whole month MIA on instagram, only came back a few days ago. She hinted she had issues but no one knows exactly : health? organization? nothing to do with Miss Universe???
We don't even know when she leaves, from where she leaves (Paris??? Fort de France????) we don't even know where she is at the moment.

IMG focused on the same set of countries, shutting out Europe most of the time. More black girls also placed during the IMG years, maybe to cater to more diverse selection of semifinalists. Most of the blonde girls don't make it to the Top 10.

My prediction is that the new organisation will favor underdogs and non sash factor countries ( if they have the main qualities
) than any other hyped contestans especially over latinas.

I’m talking about contestants such as Germany, Italy, Spain.
even maybe Great Britain, Malta etc.
Do they have the walk? The talk? the look? the appeal?
Then yes they will.

Because this will not only enhance diversity and break the latino domination, which is a topic the org prioritizes, it will also lead the Asian contestants to shine even more and increase their success as we know that a chance of an EU contestant to beat an Asian contestant in the performance dept in the finals is pretty low.

France is a really bad clone of the girl last year.

Great Britain is a hardcore clapper. I'm sure Philippines will be clapping right next to Great Britain way in the back.

Once again 2 slots were given in the Top 16 for Europe this time both neighboring countries Portugal and Spain made the 1st cut. But with no Top 10 cut, will one or both of them will make it to the Final 5 (first since Iris won Miss Universe in 2016)?

BUT THE AMERICAS ARE STRONG. SO EVEN WITH A TOP 8 OR 10 I DO NOT THINK EUROPE WILL END THE TOP 5 LESS
