Only Crowning Interrupted with Strike in Miss Universe

Among all the live broadcasts of Miss Universe, 1972 is the one year that no one could watch the crowning on their televisions.
As soon as the winner was going to be announced by Bob Barker, there was a total blackout on the televisions across the world, and the last thing seen was Miss Australia Kerry Anne Wells and Miss Brazil Rejane Costa standing as the last two fighting for the crown. But the signal was back after a few minutes for the world to watch the winner taking her victorious walk.
The problem could have been a technical one or a Planned STRIKE, but the world definitely missed the chance to watch live the first Australian ever, beautiful Kerry Anne Wells, win the Miss Universe crown.
Miss Universe'71 Georgina Rizk of Lebanon, was not allowed to crown her successor- Ms. Wells due to government restrictions because of fears of a terrorist attack. Lebanon did not compete in 1972 and Georgina could not be there to crown Miss Universe 1972. Ms. Wells was crowned by Miss Universe'70, Marisol Malaret of Puerto Rico and Miss Universe'71 1st Runner-Up Toni Rayward of Australia.
