Why Brazil & Thailand ended the long streak at Miss Universe 2021?

Postby ajsy0203 » Thu Dec 16, 2021 1:22 pm

POV: As forumer Ian Sebastin tried to pull Philippines down and claimed that Bea will end Philippines streak at Miss Universe but in a sudden twist Philippines made the cut and continued to place for the 12th straight edition while Brazil and Thailand ended their long streak.

Was the lack of training & preparations because they were crowned 1-2 months before Miss Universe 2021? Were their pageant directors Winston Ling & Marthina Brandt (for Brazil) and TPN too complacent after Julia and Amanda placed high at the previous edition last May?

Note: Although Indonesia withdrew this edition, I think Indonesia also broke the placement streak because of their absence while Vietnam dodged the bullet twice after they won the fan voting that prevented Khanh Van & Kim from clapping at Miss Universe.

AJ, who gives a rat's ass if they clapped or ended their streak? Let's just mind our own business and focus on our own because we really have a lot of things to improve especially that our local Miss Universe franchise is a new organization. Enough with the nonsense comparisons and whatnot, please. Thank you.

This thread is in response to Ian Sebastin's claim of Philippines will end the placement streak at Miss Universe several times but instead Brazil and Thailand fell into the trap this edition.

I did not break any rules of thread writing. This is an open discussion.

What do you aim to achieve with this open discussion thing you're raving about? Dragging Ms Thailand and Ms Brazil into the discussion lacks perspective and being naive will not end up a meaningful discussion. You're actually paving the ground for raw filth to build up! You should know that by now!

Do you ever stop and wonder why so many people dislike Filipino fans and their delegates consistently get bashed on social media? Have you ever stopped to ask yourself that question?

I attacked the Philippines and send her streak would end. Brazil and Thailand have nothing to do with that. And why do so many Filipinos keep bringing up Indonesia? They didn’t even compete.

If you want to attack someone then attack me but stop being the typical, annoying Filipino fan and acting shoving the Philippines in everyone’s face. Let’s fans formulate their own opinion.

Anyway, this post shows why most people dislike Filipino fans. They have to cut other countries down to make themselves feel better.

It doesn’t matter if you aced your placement at Miss Universe or barely made it, but assessing and critiquing your
performance is a must and it should be done by all countries and that's including the fans in pageant fora. It should
be de rigeur - it is fitting and necessary and I am encouraging all ND and their partners to make it a part and parcel
of their post mortem autopsy of what they did and what is supposed to be done.

Discussing the performance of other candidates say Brazil or Thailand or Vietnam, I think is a welcome move for as
long as we maintain politeness, propriety, and decorum. If we discuss them so we can mirror their performance and
shortcomings and maybe learn from their mistakes is acceptable. If it is done to help us do things better next time
then I don't say NO to it. It’s always important to understand what’s working (and why), what’s not, and where
opportunities lie. These insights will help us streamline workflow, innovate processes, and improve team collaboration.

Even doctors & nurses are making post mortem evaluations of their work - say after successful surgery or maybe after
somebody died on the operating table.

Post mortem examination is important in order to ensure that justice is served in respect of the deceased, the accused,
the next of kin, and the respective insurance companies. It is important as a tool to establish the cause of death and
to determine the contributing factors.

We can also apply these principles to pageantry, especially after the end of the contest to know what is lacking in us
and formulating plans to improve next season maybe.

Who is this "Ian Sebastin", anyway, that you have to create a special thread just to respond to his ugly comments about the Philippines?! Is he a part of the admin here?! For all we know, he is just another loser who has nothing to do but to taunt and to deliberately provoke us to stoop down to his level through futile arguments! That is so shallow, AJ! We don't respond to losers like him, AJ. You need to choose your battles carefully next time, son. Silence is vital in this case. All you need to do is just to let our 12-year placement streak at Miss Universe slap his thick face left and right and those who hate our country and candidates, that's all! Ignore them, AJ! Let them writhe and wriggle in envy and jealousy until they perish to oblivion!

Yes, root cause analysis is very important to improve next time and to avoid any mistake. Same as post mortem, this scientific analysis is commonly used by a lot of industry including health care.

I mean.... is this really a question?

Brazil is a beautiful girl, she was clearly a stand-out at Miss Brasil 2021 but she was just lost during Miss Universe 2021 especially Prelims!
She looked like a basic white girl that you could find on weaker sash states at Miss USA with that straight hair and that hideous gold gown.
Again, she's a beautiful girl but her styling from hair to gown was a no no during prelims.
I had her in my Top 16 tho due to sash factor.

Thailand on the other hand... I'm really sorry she was meh.
Beautiful girl and amazing advocacy, but you guys did see the prelims right? Imma just leave it there.
