Will a Miss Universe UAE win the Mouawad crown?

Postby poker_man » Sun Oct 24, 2021 12:09 am

There are so many facially superior girls in the batch compared to powerhouse representatives this year. Any thoughts on how UAE's chances this year?

Paula Shugart should play her cards well. The symbiotic relationship will yield mighty good results -- a win-win situation for both MUO and the women audiences in the Arab world.

When the time is due, MUO could unequivocally return the favor in exchange of guaranteed sources of sponsorship and advertising revenues for its coffers. Hence, the Mouawad jewel being awarded for a year of reign by an Arab girl may not be far fetched after all.

It is to MUO's credit that they break the barrier opening up a captive mass market for all other beauty products to flood across the Arab region -- 15 countries or so -- from the Gulf to the Mediterranean scaling west to the Maghreb and even east cascading down into the horn of Africa. The demand for beauty enhancement would reach peak as Arab women have a long history of making themselves look even more beautiful with their exotic fragrances better known as oud, eye contouring, henna skin tattoos, aroma scents, etc.

It's no known secret the beauty industry is already huge in that region and the actual participation of Ms UAE will bolster the entry of more beauty products to that sphere of the world. To this, mass producers and advertisers of beauty products have much to be thankful to the MUO.

Maybe, but that is all up to whoever wins that pageant. She, just like any other contestant, has to prove that to the judges, just like Mpule (who was a debut contestant since that was the first time Botswana sent a contestant to Miss Universe; nowadays, they don't even send one anymore).
Sisters forever.
Will never forget the Miss Universe trio that once was. For now, covering other pageants.

Since USA and UAE are political allies, a MIss Universe from UAE can be a welcome change. Since they will debut, we really cannot say what are their chances to win the crown. It's always 50-50. My only concern is if she tours the US she might experience backlash due to being from an Arab nation. A similar scenario already happened when Margaret Gardiner won in 1978. At that time South Africa was controversial due to its apartheid policy and she suffered the backlash even though she is against apartheid. A Miss Universe from UAE might suffer the same fate due to being Arab and Americans always associate Arab with Islam (though I think other countries won't mind it).

With UAE participation to the pageant, it will definitely open doors to more sponsors for Miss Universe. The addition of Miss Universe UAE will be a big boost to the MUO. So many factors are favoring MUO. They can explore Dubai even more to advertise their pageant to the Arab World. Use the many WORLD Class facilities of Dubai to MUO advantages.

One Billionaire Emirati can launch or sponsor the Miss Universe pageant next year.

I won’t be surprised if Dubai hosts Miss Universe next year or 2.

Dubai can host. Filipinos are the organizers. Their first ever Miss UAE Universe, the Filipinos are at the cornerstone in their showcase. There taking it one step at a time until someone from the Emirates can take over successfully. Philippines has always been a participant of any international competition or affairs so its no big secret that The Philippines is always ready to help mobilize any gigantic undertakings in the world. Look at the new winner of Nobel Peace Prize this year, Maria Ressa and Carlos Yulo, fresh from winning gold in the gymnastics event at the World Championship just yesterday.

So? I’m referring to the fact that she didn’t face racism or backlash from the American people just for being a Muslim Arab. Causing controversy based on your actions is a different story and that is on her.

Ps: don’t see anything wrong with pole dancing especially since the photo was taken before her becoming a beauty queen. Cannot believe how Puritan and backward some people are. I can understand if this photo caused a controversy in a country ruled by ISIS but this is America.

That is culturally normal for college kids. Hate to break it to you but because something seems offensive to you others celebrate it as freedom of expression.
