Is there a Mathematician here who can explain the possibility of this? It smells like rotten fish! A possible new modus operandi or a possible ploy to cover up another issue? The lavish F1 Singapore trip perhaps?
Oh Philippines. My beloved Philippines. Kaya pa ba?

I asked a friend this question: Are you more likely to win the lottery if you play the same numbers or if you choose
new ones each time?
His response: It doesn’t matter if you pick new numbers each time you play or if you always play your “lucky numbers”,
or go for computer-generated lucky dips - the chances of your numbers matching the draw are always the same, i.e.
close to nil.
I do think it’s better to pick new numbers each time though - but not because it increases your chances of winning.
Having “lucky numbers” creates a compulsion to play. You create a need to play every week because what if the week
you miss out on playing will be the week your numbers come up? This is part of how the lottery companies trick you into
playing more. By choosing random numbers every time you play, you avoid this. You will no longer care about not buying
a ticket every time because the numbers you pick are random anyway - this way you can keep a small bit of fun from
spiralling out of control into an addiction.
