I hope Miss Universe is able to take her husband/toddlers to live with her in NY and while traveling to fulfill her duties. Separating toddlers from their mom for a year is cruel. No mothers/wives should sacrifice her precious time with her husband/toddlers just for a glitz and glam moment. If MUO is able to take care of that and allows Miss Universe to fulfill her responsibilities as a wife and a mother during her reign, i am all in for this decision. Just hope it’s still fun and entertaining.

The MUO is missing an opportunity to make a pageant for married women (and gaining more traction for them) by doing this. This reminds me of Miss France; honestly, with the machinery and hype they can gain, Miss France could've made a ''Madame France/Mrs. France'' pageant in which older women can compete and inspire women of older ages to compete; they could even implement the same system.

Until the announcement comes from the MUO itself, and not some second hand source like “an email from the MUO”, better not believe such announcement yet. National Directors often have conflicting info allegedly coming from MUO.

MWO and Miss United Kingdom org (under Morley brand) still accepted unmarried women with child until 1974 which Helen won Miss World 1974 then she resigned due to her involvement with relationship with an actor according to pageant historian Julio Rodriguez Matute. By 1975, they started not to accept them at the pageant.
