Binibining Pilipinas 2022 Review

After being the first pageant to have an all-female host and broadcasted live in all platforms, Binibining Pilipinas returned this year with a live audience. Unfortunately, the production was not as good as last year.

The camera was very shaky! The tripod didn't seem to be in place during filming. It looked like an amateur was filming the whole thing.

Background noises from production staff can be heard. Nakakahiya! There was a guy mentioning how sexy some candidates are and he was heard clearly!

Catriona was a mess. I really thought she was the best Miss Universe host but as much the production of Miss Universe Philippines 2022 was such a copycat from Binibining Pilipinas 2021, Pia did a better job hosting this year.

Whose idea was it to have the girls wear the sashes during the evening gown? Ang kalat! It was so distracting to see the girls adjust their presentation since they had the sash tied to their wrists.

Maymay Entrata was all over the place. She interrupted Joyce Burton's commentary and she was also not hitting the notes well.

The farewell walk was not elegant. The voice over of the girls sounded like it was done using a cellphone. This year had two winners, I can't believe they gave the four crowned girls a horrible final walk.

I thought that there was a mistake in the announcement based on the long pause before announcing Miss International.

Overall, the winners are alright. Basiano was the only one who deserved a crown and should have been sent to International. Runners up Budol and Gabriel (who was the Obeñita this year) should have been crowned. Tamondong was a disappointment during the Q&A but she might pull a surprise in Grand International. Fernandez and Borromeo were forgettable.

I think Supranational should be given back to BPCI, so many girls are being wasted. Laurrie should have been crowned as well.

One thing is for sure. This year's Bb is a lot more entertaining than Miss World Philippines 2022 (the most boring) and MUP 2022.

Overall, Bb. Pilipinas is a cheap pageant. Everything about the show last night was cheap ang dating.You would think they already know what they are doing after all these years but they don't. No wonder Paula Shuggart wanted the top crown out of BPCI asap.

One thing is for sure. This year's Bb is a lot more entertaining than Miss World Philippines 2022 (the most boring) and MUP 2022.

The worst so far in terms of activities is Miss Philippines Earth. Juice colored! The Top 20 press presentation (yes, only 20 finalists) & form/fitness event held recently was awful (so were the candidates).


I hope Binibini (including Catriona and Nicole) will be open/honest on what truly happened during the long delay in the announcement of Bb. Pilipinas Intl winner. Tita Taba said there were videos sent to her about a commotion happening at the judges table, as well as insinuating that the host made a mistake in announcement of winners and did not correct the situation.

basta performance wise halos kabog naman lahat kung Q&A and basehan very questionable ang placement ni ROBERTA mas nagmukha pang deserving magka Title si BUDOL kesa sa kanya.

I actually enjoyed the pageant more than MUP. Exciting lang ang MUP dahil sa Miss Universe. Madilim din naman ang MUP. I think resolution lang din yan na since online, di HD. Mas may time nga ang rampa ng girls, which is a good thing. And it is fast paced, though fast paced din ang MUP. As for the hosts, Cat and Nicole did well, better than Iris and Demi, but i must agree na Pia is slightly better, halata lang kasi na nagbabasa siya but kung less sigaw lang si Cat albeit the mispronounced names and cities, okay din siya, but i think the best si Nicole. Performers - iba ang SB19 - the best amongst local performers. I am not a fan (as I am an ARMY) and i DID find them copycats BEFORE, but they came through to me and magaling naman talaga - better than Bamboo and miles miles better than the American Idol alum who messed up big time. Maimai is also better than Sam Concepcion in the swimsuit competition. The online hosts - better also as i was surprised na magaling si Edward Barber than the three online/Kumu hosts of MUP. Choreography is also better, mas magandang tingnan and mas may fluid. But the farewell walk of MUP is better and the performance of Morisette is just wow, incomparable sa iba. But overall, iba talaga ang Bb. Pilipinas. Siguro dahil kinalakihan natin kaya there's a special place in our hearts for Bb. Pilipinas. Give Bb. Pilipinas major crowns other than MI, it will maintain its stature as the best local pageant in the country.

Speaking of local pageants, i really believe na dapat i-let go na ng Carousel ang MEP and ibigay ito sa Bb. Pilipinas. Kasi yung quality talaga ng girls nila ay kulang. Saka focus na lang sila sa ME para mas mapaganda pa nila. Well anyway, it's wishful thinking lang naman talaga....
