In 2021, Greece debuted at MS but expectations were low as Greece often gets ignored at international pageants. But then a young man by the name of Spyros Nikolaidis emerged and changed the course of history forever. He went on to be one of the most popular contestants that year and made the TOP 20! Of course, there were some (myself included) who thought he should've made it to at least the TOP 10. Sadly, he was robbed, but his performance will forever be remembered.
In 2022, the GS Hellas organization set out to find a worthy successor and crowned a young weight-lifter by the name of Leonidas Amfilochios. Right away, we knew there was something special about him but we were concerned by his lack of pageant experience. But luckily he had almost a year to prepare and lo and behold, he became a star at MS. Like Spyros, he was another fan favorite and finished in the TOP 5 as the 2nd Runner-up.
It is now time to crown their successor! Who will step into their shoes and try to bring home the coveted Mister Supranational title. The finals are in September so the winner will once again have almost a year to prepare, since I assume MS 2023 will take place in July 2023.
