BRATISLAVA - Since time immemorial, we have had two beauty contests in the territory of the Slovak Republic - Miss Slovakia and Miss Universe SR. While the directors of the first one changed several times over the years, the second one was headed by Silvia Lakatošová (47) for 24 years. But that's over. The well-known brunette has decided to quit Miss Universe!
For 24 years, Silvia Lakatošová was the director of the Miss Universe SR beauty contest, which sent the most beautiful Slovak women to the world finals. For years, she even tried to innovate the project and moved from the television environment to the online world. But now she decided to take an even bolder step.
After two decades, she is ending Miss Universe. "After 24 years of cooperation with the Miss Universe Organization, I have decided not to continue and delegate a contestant to the world finals of Miss Universe 2023," Lakatošová shocked us with these words.
She also admitted that she had been toying with the idea for years. "I have been considering my decision for 5 years and it finally came after this year's world finals in New Orleans," explained the director. However, she does not want to completely leave the environment of Miss and the beauty business. She would only like to change the foreign partner.
"It doesn't mean that I want to completely quit Miss and the beauty business, I just want to choose other foreign partners for cooperation within Miss. From the so-called big four - Big Four International Beauty Pageants, we will cooperate with Miss Earth, whose main environmental idea and saving the planet appeals to me more and is close to me," Lakatošová explained to us.
Last year, Karolína Michalčíková became the historically last Slovak Miss Universe. Soon Silvia Lakatošová will announce Miss Earth SR.
I SALUTE ND and countries who DEFY the "evilness" of this JKN era. Unlike MUPh who loves to KISS ASSES of this trans queen, Slovak Republic did the most RIGHTFUL THING to do. BRAVO

I don't even think Miss Universe is that worth it at this point. They talk about sustainability but doesn't know how to sustain people who have been loyal to MUO for years (ex. Puteri, Miss Universe Slovak Republic, and many more prominent franchises to come).
100% shocked but understandable. Karolina's almost 3 weeks stay in the Philippines at Miss Earth 2022 and almost 2 weeks stay in New Orleans at 71st Miss Universe were compared day and night difference when it came to the pre-pageant activities and final show.

I know PH and Indonesia are going on right now but it doesn't seem like anyone else is even getting ready for a pageant. By now there should be at least 10 contestants.
