MISSOSOLOGY PREDICTION GAMES YEAR 11

[PG Master]

We are back! I am glad to welcome all PG enthusiasts who eagerly waited for the opening of The Missosology Prediction Games which is now on its 11th year. Since I need a long break and also since nobody wants to take this PG Master post, I decided to postpone the opening of the new season and start it on September. As long as I am the PG Master (assuming that no one is interested to replace me), expect that on the coming years, the Prediction Games will have an indefinite starting date depending on my availability.


The 11th year will introduce a tweak in the scoring system giving more importance on runners-up and titles by lowering the assigned points for semifinalists. There will also be a “Double your Score” round which will be activated every interval of 10 games (10th, 20th, 30th…). Rules will be retained with few updates so please check them out. Everyone can participate anytime they want as there’s no registration required. At the end of the season, the ultimate winner will join the elite circle of the PG Champions and will win a cash prize of PhP 5000 which might increase if there will be sponsors along the way. Lol! Participants with non Predictionist tag who enter the Top 10 of the leaderboards will receive a tag upgrade (Predictionist). Participants with Predictionist tag who are inactive in the games for 3 years will be demoted (except the Champions).

GAME RULES:

1. Participants should religiously follow and use the Official Entry Sheet. Any format other than the required format by the Game Master will be disqualified. Participants will be asked to always write the PG Assigned Numbers (PGAN) or the Official Numbers (ON) of the candidates including the NAME and/or the PLACE represented by the candidate.

2. In cases where the "NAME / NUMBER / PLACE REPRESENTED" of the candidate is doubled in the entry, the entry will be disqualified.

4. In cases where the "NAME / NUMBER / PLACE REPRESENTED" of the candidate does not correspond to each other, the entry will be disqualified.

5. If the participant has multiple entries, the latest entry will be considered and scored.

6. While full efforts are being made to provide the complete list of the candidates in the official PG thread of a particular pageant before the thread will be posted, it is still the participants' responsibility to do research for the completeness or any changes in the line-up of the candidates. In cases where new candidates are added and the participants wants to include them in their entries, just write directly the " NAME / PLACE REPRESENTED" of the candidate even without the PGAN / ON.

7. PG thread can be requested to be created at least FIVE days before the coronation night. PG thread will not be created for pageants happening in less than 5 days period.

8. PG threads will be locked 1 DAY AHEAD at 6 PM Manila. Philippines time.

9. In cases wherein locking of the PG thread is late by several hours, entries posted and edited after the closing time will still be accepted provided that the pageant hasn't started yet.

10. Scoring format per game may change depending on the actual result and number of the candidates in a pageant comes coronation night. If the actual turn-out is less than the expected number as listed in the PG thread, scoring format remains the same. Otherwise the scoring format will be upgraded.

Zero Rule #1: If the winner of a pageant is not included in the participant's entry, participant will automatically get zero score.
Zero Rule #2: If the participant's winner in the entry sheet is not included in the actual Top 15/16/25, participant will automatically get zero score.





SCORE SPECIFICS:

1. If the actual pageant chooses FEWER runners up than the PG asks for, the additional runners up from the PG entries will be disregarded.


Example: If the PG has 4 RUs but the actual pageant has only 3 RUs, then the 4th RU in your PG list is omitted.





2. If the actual pageant chooses MORE runners up than the PG asks for, the additional runners up from the pageant will be disregarded.


Example: If the PG has 4 RUs but the actual pageant has 5 RUs, then the 5th RU from the pageant will not count.





3. If the PG asks for 4 RUs but the pageant chooses only 2 RUs and Rest of Top 5, then the points for to the Rest of Top 5 will apply.

4. If a PG has Rest of Top 5 but the pageant has Rest of top 7, then as we do not know which finalists placed 4th of 5th, we will treat all the remaining finalists as Rest of Top 5.

5. If a contestant in your Rest of Top 5 makes the actual Rest of Top 7/8, you will get points for correct placement.


Example: If your winner or 1st RU or 2nd RU make the Rest of Top 7 /8, you will get points for incorrect placement.





6. If the PG format includes one winner/title followed by runners up but the actual pageant distributes multiple titles, then the second and third titles in the pageant will correspond to the 1st and 2nd RUs in the PG and so on. In other words, the second highest placement in the pageant (regardless of whether it is a title or RU) will correspond to the second highest placement in the PG, and so on.

7. If the hierarchy of titles or RU positions is unclear, then their order of importance will be determined by the reverse order in which they are announced.

8. If the format of a pageant is different from the format of the prediction game , the Game Master will decide the score system format at his discretion.

In order to be more convenience in computing the scores, I will propose the 2022 Prediction Games Scoring Format:

The scores will start at 100,000 points with podium credits for each game that they made it.
+ 2,000 points per game (1st Place)
+ 1,000 points per game (2nd Place)
+ 500 points per game (3rd Place)
