From then on, they could have started checking already. It's a waste of effort, money, and time on the delegate's part.

At the end of the day…these women took their chances by entering the wrong heights. Perhaps they thought the org would trust the information they submitted fully. Unfortunately for them, the org found out eventually. Since they engaged in deception, they have no right to complain.
And if they were really ignorant of their real heights, then that’s on them. And now that they know what their real heights are, they should just put their big boy pants on and find another pageant that allows shorter women. As per MEC…just stop playing the victim card. — TOTALLY AGREE 101% [/color]

Valid point. But do not ignore the fact that someone lied and hoped na di mahuli. Tsk tsk tsk. Fraud in all forms should not be tolerated. Pinoy talaga. Kaya di umaasenso. Magnanakaw nga ginawang Presidente.

Okay, but was there no effort earlier on for Carousel to check? They should have screened the applicants on the most vital requirements. What's disappointing here is that the delegates accepted that it is their mistake, whether intentional or not, but there was no accountability from Carousel's end that they failed to do their end of verifying the information given to them. Bb. Pilipinas screens the candidates thoroughly on citizenship and other vital requirements. Most of them are taken out of the competition weeks after the competition started. Had this been done by Carousel early on, those 3 delegates would not have wasted their resources in the first place.
I'll stop here. I hope this never happens again. Miss Philippines Earth is losing their grip and relevance in Philippine Pageantry. They should do better.

Well, Pia Worstbach also lied on her height because she said early on in many interviews that she is 5'8", 5'7" lang pala ang animal. Maybe she counted the height of her boobs that's why she think she is 5'8'. Mandaraya siya. Dami nyong arte dito sa height knowing no one gives a shit about ME anymore because they kept crowning their home court girls kahit chaka ang mga mukha. Hello Karen!

“Baka makalusot”. E angkaso nga lang, nakalusot! Just kidding!
Sa dulo naman, mahuhuli pa rin ang mga nagsinungaling - intentional or not.
Cheers Lonflores!

I didn't say that the camp of the delegates in question does not have any fault in this. We do not know what their intentions are. Regardless if it is an honest mistake (one of the delegates thought all along that she was 5'4", only to be verified that she is 5'3.5"), or an intentional one, Carousel should still have verified EARLY ON.
Yes, fraud in all forms should not be tolerated. So as mismanagement. When we see one, we should call it out.
Also, my font color doesn't reflect the politician I support. It's just something that I use way back.

you easily forgot that Bb. Pilipinas made a couple of mistake back then: Joyce burton, Tisha Silang, Anjanette Abayari and why did you forget Venus Raj easily? LOL
Let's say Bb. Pilipinas learned from their mistakes before but those were several mistakes mind you

Even Sandra Seifert, the fronttunner and touted to win the Universe title, she was kick-out the competition 2 days before the coronation night.
