This shouldn't come as a surprise. Lindsey was the most anticipated delegate in Miss Earth 2020. Despite the virtual competition due to the limitiations brought by the pandemic, Lindsey stood out in what was considered one of the strongest Miss Earth batches in recent years. She exceeded all expectations, winning the evening gown and talent (singing) competitions. With her beautiful face and gift of gab, USA copped its first Miss Earth crown.
"I joined the Miss Earth sisterhood to become a voice, to inspire, and to make a difference in our world. Now is that opportunity. As now is the time for action," she said after winning. "Now is the time to be more than your country. We are not just citizens of our nation. We are citizens of the world, and once we start to view one another as such, we will always find success. As your Miss Earth, that is the legacy I will leave behind me."
As a a Climate Reality Leader, WWF Ambassador and now Miss Earth 2020, Lindsey made sure to use the platform given to her to promote environmental awareness and green solutions. In April 2021, she launched her Eco-Ed video series (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... jwyfgNEBG4) to encourage people to join the movement for climate action through easy-to-comprehend videos that break down climate issues.
She might have won the crown in a virtual fashion, but Lindsey is creating a significant effect not just in the pageant industry, but through her environmental awareness efforts - all these without the glitz and glamour pageant fans used to associate from pageants. Lindsey is the embodiment of a true beauty for a cause. That is the essence of being a Timeless Beauty.

Those whose countries are not pageant crazy will always pale in comparison but there is no global impact in there. Those with massive fanbase also like Miss Universe will always have an advantage. Hopefully, this is corrected in the next editions. Anyhow, congrats Queen Lindsey.

POV: Chanique's global appeal will be tested especially she was bashed by Indonesian pageant fans but it will be a tougher election ahead because we still don't know who will win Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Earth before the end of the year.

I agree! I saw her score in this category and it is very far from the 1st runner-up. Good thing she scores high on the other categories. I first thought Global impact is suited for ME since her title is really created to have an impact on the world, earth rather. If it is base on likes and subscribers on social media accounts, dehado ang ME (whoever wins) because most Pinoys (and other pageant-craze nations) only follow Miss Universe winners.

With her recent accolade as the Missosology Timeless Beauty of 2020, one would not know that she was once hesitant to be part of the world of pageantry...
During an interview with #OAGOTI made it to top 5 which I didn't think that was gonna happen. I was up on stage and they called:
4th runner up, wasn't me, Oh, I was a little shock!
3rd runner up, wasn't me, I got so into my head and I kid you not, I literally said: "I do not want to win." - Lindsey Coffey
Lindsey did not expect to make it far in her first try in pageantry, the Miss Pennsylvania USA 2020. The realization of winning during the final announcement overwhelmed her, and she revealed of being terrified of winning that being called as 2nd runner up came as such a relief.
Miss PA USA 2020 2nd runner up
The reluctance came from the feeling of disconnection with the pageant system. She confessed of not knowing what she was getting herself into that time.
Being the go-getter that she is, she wants to put her 100 percent in all her endeavors, and she can't be all in if her heart is not into it.

But as they say in life, one is never denied, only redirected. As a result of her first pageant experience, she was dm'ed about the Miss Earth pageant system and was soon catapulted to an epic whirlwind journey fit for an Earth Queen.
