What is your analysis between these pageant's stage design? Which among them was your standout? and Which of them just "basic"?

Nothing spectacular this year. But MI always manages to put up the most boring stage design every year. ME is always daring, but the execution is almost always poor. MGI? The fact that it's a copycat already leaves you with a very low expectation.

NOTHING SPECTACULAR! ONE OF THE WORST YEAR IN TERMS OF STAGE DESIGN.

MAYBE SUPRANATIONAL WAS THE BEST, BECAUSE AT LEAST IS BIG, MODERN ANDTHE GIRLS CAN WALK.

MISS WORLD AND MISS INTERNATIONAL CLASSICAL BORING STAGE.

MISS EARTH, AGAIN IN A POOL, IS A BIG NO, WITH CLEAR CAMERA PROBLEMS.

MISS UNIVERSE WAS THE BIGGEST DELUSION. SMALL STAGE, DARK EVERYWHER, THERE WAS NO SPACE FOR THE GIRLS.... ONLY ONE LITTLE LAD. THE ONLY SAVING GRACE WAS THE CAMERA WORK

We are talking about STAGE DESIGN and not lighting, not camera angle, not hosts nor production number —— JUST THE DESIGN of the STAGE.

I would give it to ME for being innovative and a STAND OUT. The rest are just the same old stuffs, they just have better and more lightings BUT DESIGN? naananahhhh! [-X [-X [-X [-X

It was way different from 2012 and 2013.
Miss Earth 2019 was held in the most expensive and most luxurious indoor beach club in the Philippines.
It was stunning with the Manila sunset as backdrop transitioning into evening.
For me, it was the best stage in 2019.

Because it's ME and ME and its owners and organizers originated from and are based in the Philippines. Even though MsU doesn't have it, Pinoy fans wouldn't accede to MsU being relegated to the lower rung, hence, shouldn't be overtaken by any of its counterpart in this regard. It's like saying being blind to what the eyes could blatantly see is acceptable because it's MsU and everything else about it is topnotch, never mind the false bravado? And we, MsU fans, will only listen to what we want to hear in defense of MsU? What falsity is this?

SO PUT A BIG FLOWER STRUCTURE IN THE CENTER IS NOW CONSIDERED INNOVATIVE? BECAUSE IS THE ONLY THING THAT MISS EARTH DID.
YES, COVE MANILA IS AWESOME, AND IS THE LOCATION THAT SAVED THE FACE OF THE PAGEANT, BECAUSE IF WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE STAGE, IT'S ALMOST INEXISTENT.

It was the best stage although I would have preferred it held at 8 pm. Nevertheless, it was a fabulous show and we have a great set of winners!

Contrary to most of the critics, I enjoyed the transition from daylight to evening. Glad the swimsuit was first then proceeded with evening gown when the sun slowly goes down.

Me three! It was so visually appealing. =c3

This is what I said about art. Pinag-iisipan. LED is very easy to mount but there is no art or brain behind it. Miss Earth is innovative and I like it. Plus amazing winners. But still, heart bleeds for India. Hopefully Divine Diva will choose a more complete package winner next year.

Also happy for Guyana making it. It is their first time I think in any big-4 pageants.

a WOW stage. I wish they put lights in front of the stage. The girls face a bit dark.

Nonetheless, it was an amazing stage and production.

THE FIRST HOUR THE STAGE LOOKED BRIGHT

MID PAGEANT, THE SUNSET GAVE THE STAGE AN AMBIANCE AND ATMOSPHERIC FEEL

BUT TOWARDS THE END, THE STAGE LOOKED DARK AS NIGHT FELL. WISHED THE PETALS WERE ILLUMINATED TO GIVE MORE BRIGHTNESS

BUT OVERALL I LOVE THE CONCEPT OF THE STAGE - FLOWER FOR THE EARTH, THE POOL FOR THE WATER, THE DOME FOR THE AIR, AND THE SUN FOR THE FIRE

I respect your opinion but with due reservation. No reasoning can make you appreciate nor change what you want to believe to the contrary. A pity you weren't around personally to see the design and how it impacted the audiences at the time ... you've dissed a mouthful already. Relying on photos alone or what was heard or read from and listening to people who expressed a dislike isn't fair deal to say the least. So you may know, a team of designers and architects was commissioned by ME to provide inputs in the design - - from conceptualization to the final execution, but feeding a closed mindset with a justification, is a losing proposition in my opinion.

Agree but this could not be captured by FB Livestream. It would be great in Television. Next year, I want it to be in Cove again but more extravagant and at night. More preparations. What you think Earthlings?

I love Miss Earth’s unpredictability when it comes to the stage design because they don’t mind experimenting a bit. While most of the other pageants have learned to rely on LED screens, Miss Earth tries to be innovative. And it works! >=p

Just laugh at the name calling Pippo. It is part of the game here in Misso though I dont agree especially when done with persons like you. You are one of the better missossologists here.

Going back at the subject, can you tell us your honest opinion about the stage based on above photos. Are you not in awe coz I am. I am searching for one photo wherein the globe or moon like plus the swimming pool with the reflection of the girls was perfectly captured. It was a breathtaking photo for me.

I LOVE THE VENUE! AS I SAID BEFORE, IS AWESOME. AND IN 2019 MISS EARTH WAS THE ONLY BIG5 THAT I LOVED TO WATCH. I ENJOYED MORE MISS EARTH THAN MISS UNIVERSE LAST YEAR.
ALSO FOR THIS I DON'T LIKE THE STAGE, BECAUSE IN A SUCH BEAUTIFUL SCENARIO, A BIGGER STAGE WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. EVERY TIME I SEE THE FINAL, I'M BOTHERED TO SEE THE GIRLS AGGLOMERATED BECAUSE OF THE LITTLE SPACE.
I APPRECIATE THE TREND THAT MISS EARTH STARTED IN 2018 TO REDUCE THE LED SCREEN, BUT IF IN 2018 I LOVED THE CONCEPT AND THE RECYCLE MATERIAL, (BUT NOT THE TOO MUCH DARKNESS), IN 2019 IN A SUCH WONDERFUL SCENARIO, THIS STAGE AT MY EYES LOOKS POOR.

TO RESUME MY POINTS: THE GOOD VISUAL RESULTS IS FOR THE AWESOME LOCATION, BUT STRICTLY TO STAGE DESIGN, IN MY OPINION IT COULD HAVE BEEN BIGGER AND RICHER.

EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT THE MOON AND THE REFLECTIONS IN THE POOL, BUT THIS IS BECAUSE THE LOCATION, NOT BECAUSE OF THE STAGE

Image
IF YOU LOOK, THE PLATFORM WAS JUST HERE, ALSO THE PALMS. IF THEY HAD INCREASED THE PLATFORM WIDTH, THEY COULD HAD INSERT MORE AND BIGGER ELEMENTS, AND WITH A LONG RUNWAY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE POOL, THEY WOULD REALLY ENHANCE THE WHOLE

What you wanted for the stage was untenable. As a sponsor, Cove Manila has set the extent and limits of structural changes that could be made in the space alloted and ME cannot encroach on additional space(s) beyond what was permitted. ME in fact has to be congratulated for having obtained permission to use the facilities even at short notice. So please stop with your unsolicited advice even if that makes you feel better after your initial comment. You are in position to dictate or ask for what has been or not agreed between 2 contracting parties.

YES, COVE MANILA IS AWESOME, AND IS THE LOCATION THAT SAVED THE FACE OF THE PAGEANT, BECAUSE IF WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE STAGE, IT'S ALMOST INEXISTENT.

Are you blind in not seeing the stage? So shut up coz you're not there, Italian as-if-you-know-everything!

Wow, since when on the forum we refer to
someone using their nationality? What a maturity :!! "As-if-you-know-everything" "shut up"... Bah. For a diffsrent opinion? Really?

Just laugh at the name calling Pippo. It is part of the game here in Misso though I dont agree especially with persons like you. You are one of the better missossologists here.

Going back at the subject, can you tell us your honest opinion about the stage based on above photos. Are you not in awe coz I am. I am searching for one photo wherein the globe or moon like plus the swimmiing pool with the reflection of the girls was perfectly captured. It was a breathtaking photo for me.

I ONLY REPLY WHY I DIDN'T LIKE THE STAGE, NOTHING TO DICTATE OR ASK. AND I DON'T NEED TO BE COMFORTABLE TO FEEL BETTER AFTER MY 1st COMMENT BECAUSE I SAID THE EXACT SAME THINGS.
EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN PERSONAL OPINION, I EXPRESSED MINE WITH MY PERSONAL MOTIVATIONS.
SIMPLY, THOSE STAGE DOESN'T MEET MY TASTE AND I PREFER OTHER TYPES. I BELIEVE THAT THIS KIND OF DISCUSSION HAS ALREADY BEEN FORWARD TO LONG.

Pippo, you made it appear as if you knew better than the planners, architects, and designers who were tasked with the responsibility of striking a win-win formulae for the ME2019 finale. I give you that, maybe you really do. But let me tell you one thing: your suggestion, even if it was grandiose and the better option, was almost untenable. Please know ME operates on a stringent budgetary guideline and/or protocols. There were things ME/Carousel CAN and CANNOT do given the circumstances of fiscal 2019, and under constraints by its own terms. Kindly process that, if you may. There was nothing that ME or any well-meaning follower or critic can do to rectify what you think was missing in the final output. Add, it will serve for you to avoid being over sensitive. Because in a public fora as Misso is, you open your opinion to a barrage of comments, which, due to the heat of the discussion, could bruise your ego. You've said your piece, please don't push it hard, it's become moot already.

Pippo has a concern on small stage only. He prefers bigger stage which I also understand but I agree with Beautywatch, Carousel has limitations. I expected a longer runway in the swimming pool just like in Versailles but I am not complaining coz I was overly satisfied. All our concerns when he heard that it would in Cove banished in the thin air.

With the limitations and not so astronomical budget, they were able to astound many including the whiners with their spectacular concept and innovations. Looking again at the photos, I am still in awe until now.

By the way, whoever made the photo collage of the stages has a personal bias against Miss Earth. He or she selected the daylight photos not the evening ones with spectacular views and beautiful lighting. =;)) =;))

Luckily they were able to secure this place even at the last minute. 3 of the 2019 pageants were held in the afternoon in the but Miss Earth made a difference to showcase the transition from day to night natural background.

Considering the challenges imposed by the venue, I think Carousel pulled it off. Nowadays, most pageants rely on LED screens to enhance basic stage designs but I like it that Miss Earth continues to innovate with designs that incorporate its environmental message.
