Most definitely. Same goes for Saint Martin Saint Barthélémy, strongest girl they ever sent. I really hope both get top 15, but I think Mayotte might even get top 5!

Provence and Mayotte keep slaying based on the swimsuit pictures! My home girl is about to be crowned in her region!
NPDC looks like she's trying the Maeva formula a lot but it fails every time.
Overall, the swimsuit shots are less impressive than last year.

Only one Miss from the Provence region was crowned Miss France, it was in 1979 with Sylvie Paréra, so it's been 41 years. However, she did not represent the Provence region since she was only Miss Marseille (which was at that time a qualifier for Miss France). :)

I agree but it shocked me, I was used to the traditional QCM and apart from that, I find that the difficulty of the questions has been raised. I hope that, in this way, critics will stop saying that it is a primary school level test!

I had a score of 27/40 lol. And you all ? ;/))

Hopefully it's a good sign that the final questions will be more difficult this year!
We know Sylvie doesn't want to make them political, but there is a gap between asking opinions about marijuana and stronger questions. So I hope she raised the bar.

Is scoring highest on the general knowledge test an automatic direct ticket for the semifinals or does it just make placing a lot easier? I know nearly every girl who scored highest ended up placing but then the girl who did last year didn't place, so I was just wondering?

It no longer is true as last year's winner of the culture générale award did not make it to top 12. I feel like Sylvie is trying to debunk the "legends" around Miss France, like the culture générale award and placements on the bikini group pic (for a looooong time, most of top 5 was at the center of the pic).

Unless last year's girl made a huge mistake during preparation, and got "housted" from top 12 which could be possible. OR there simply was a better girl and her award was not enough.

This is not an automatic direct ticket for the semi-finals because, as you said, the one of the last year didn't place! Moreover, Sylvie reminded it this year during the test, she said that:

"Just because you are the test winner does not mean that you will automatically be in the 15 semi-finalists because Miss France must be cultivated but not only. Last year, the winner of the test, Miss Centre-Val-de-Loire, was not in the (semi-)finalists and she was a little surprised."

However, I am convinced that it makes the placing much easier because she is the only woman who has not managed to place since this prize exists (since Miss France 2011). Sylvie likes young women who have something in their heads. The one of last year had to have an attitude problem or it was her elocution.

4. Venezuela 5. Kyrgyzstan

I've read somewhere that Sylvie said "it gets them points" in order to help the prelims jury.

I saw the girls heading to the big wheel on the Old Port in Marseilles today! I was grocery shopping and then I saw a lot of girls wearing the same outfits and I realized suddently! Today they also went to an island close to the city and held a press conference in the city hall. And it's not even cold here (or not THAT cold) so it's such a good time!

Well it's always the same list year after year but you've got to admit girls get a lot of gifts :)
I've realized the other day that the Miss France appartment is not that far away from my office in Paris :p I might stalk a bit depending on who wins :p
