Personally, I'm going by the presumption that ME - Colombia would be using both the Department names and National Park names. Calling the candidates by the National Parks they are "representing" has been a tradition of MEC since 2016 (wasn't around to follow the 2014 edition and I know 2015 was appointed). But admittedly, the names of the parks would probably be a handful to say, remember, and in my case, type so I suppose the Department names are also okay.
. . . . .
Anyway, I've also noticed a trend in MEC that the main favorite of both the Colombian pageant fans and ME fans usually take the crown. Michelle Gomez and Juliana Franco were favorites back in their respective years and both won the MEC crown. Last year, Valeria Ayos and Hillary Hollmann were the top 2 favorites and they got the MEC and MIc - Colombia crowns respectively.
So this year, I'm thinking that the top 2 would be Cesar - Yenny Carrillo, and Guajira - Sofia Cuello. Both are gorgeous, well-favored, and very visibly active in environmental activities. I personally like Sofia's beauty a little more, while Yenny is more favored by both Colombians and ME fans for the MEC crown. Either way, both would be very strong reps to ME if any of them get crowned.
That said, this is a pretty competitive batch and MEC's largest (?) to date so I think Santander (Betania Rojas - also formerly Miss Tachira of MV'16), Choco (Mafe Cuesta), Narino (Ma. Paula Castillo), and Atlantico (Yannis Herrera) also deserve mentions.
. . . . .
There are a number of candidates that are not mentioned like Meta (Nathalia Granada), Cundinamarca (Paula Vazquez), Antioquia (Juliana Escobar), etc. Are they still joining?
