However, i was disappointed to see her in motion in Thailand--she didn't seem to have the spark that i thought I saw earlier. And when she strode on stage with that overwhelming red-carpet ballgown, I knew she no longer stood a chance with the va-va-voom presence of Philippines, Vietnam, and Venezuela.
Those three looked so modern on stage. Canada was stunning on coronation night, but in a 1990s way.

While Marta is gorgeous and definitely one of the best faces in a while and the best Miss Canada since Panikian no question, it is not hard to tell when someone is not being sincere, I know she probably did not have any bad intentions at all but Marta did deceive a lot of people and it showed, she pulled the Kára McCullough/Deshauna Barber card and that can only get you so far and I think the selection committee probably saw through that after she made the Top 10. I personally thought Australia should have made Top 10 instead of Canada. Her swimsuit performance was great, she looked like a Victoria’s Secret Angel but the gown? That train was too much for me, I was looking at the gown and not at the girl.
Curaçao on the other hand was completely genuine and up close and the camera loved her. The hair during evening gown was perfect and the gown fit her like a glove, yeah she may have stumbled a little in swimsuit but isn’t the point of a “selection committee” instead of a “judging panel” to look at the whole picture?
