She has the potential to score high in the Beauty of Face and Form/Figure competitions. Her modeling experience ought to help with the Poise component. My advice to someone like her with little pageant experience (she won a modeling competition but we all know pageantry is a different type of beast) is to be very engaging during the pre-pageant activities. Talk to everyone. Show a strong interest in the Earth cause. And learn the environmental issues affecting Puerto Rico. In this manner, she’ll look confident and self-assured come the dreaded interview segment where not only are the women judged on their environmental knowledge but also on the manner they interact and engage with the judges.
The good news is that in the offchance she loses, she’s got more years ahead to hone her skills and join another pageant such as Miss Universe.

Knowing how the top 16 are being selected at Miss Earth, she needs to compete against the girls from North America - Canada, USA, Mexico, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Curacao, St. Kitts and Nevis for one of two spots allotted to that continent.

You forgot Guyana.. and oh wait.. still waiting for Ecuador, Chile( 2 girls i saw can potentually change the scorecard in Americas.. ) and the powerhouse Brazil!
Why dont they separate America to 2.. North and Central America as one then South America and Caribbean for another. .because the most competutive girls are usually coming from this area.. and most of them are pageant crazy continent unlike in Europe and Africa.
