I can't understand how Thailand can stomached giving Phiratthapong Moontribut a back to back win. Last year's result when Thailand won Man of the Year 2017 ... already raised some eyebrows of netizens
because there are runners up and semifinalist last year that is just too hard to ignore. But people has forgiven and forgotten the fiasco and they have given Thailand the benefit of the doubt since this is their first win.
But giving Thailand another crown this year is just too much. Just who do they think they are? I guess Thailand has unsatiable thirst for the crown ... and they can manage to swallow what people will say for as long as they
get the crown ... PRONTO!
I have nothing against Phiratthapong. He seemed to be a good man. But his history showed he joined Manhunt International 2 or 3 years ago and lost. He also joined Man of the World 2017 and he clapped. Logic showed if he
can't win in those pageants ... how can he win this time. I It is not really a good record. On the other hand Andrio Frazon, his first runner Up was Mr. Tourism International 2014 and he bit the dust just because Thailand wants
to win? Actually we didn't really mind Andrio settling as first runner up because he became chubby, but our hearts bleed for Hady Fakhreddine of Lebanon who settled as second runner up and Andres Esteban of Venezuela who
was the third runner Up. Any one of the two will make a good winner.
There's only eleven or so candidates and that's not a good record too. From a very good number when they started 2 years ago ... the numbers are dwindling down to a critical level... what more when year in and year out,
they gave us second class winners. I can't imagine the losing candidate for resenting. They have to shell their hard-earned money, and when the competition comes they were short-changed. The candidates leave the country
with a heavy heart. And you think they will come back next year?
The whole show was boring -If they could only hear how netizens reacted negatively to the show's proceeding ... the organizers should be deaf by now. There was no redeeming value, the swimwear used by the candidates
looked like they were made 10 years ago, and they utilized singers to fill up the gaps. What was worse was the singers were singing in Thai. Are they making a show for an international audience or they make it for their
own entertainment.
To the Indonesian organizers: Do you think Brazil, Venezuela or Lebanon will come back next year? Ask yourself this question. Maybe they will ... but they will send you also second class candidates.
