Why do “powerhouse” wannabees love to ride on Venezuela?

Postby keio20 » Thu Apr 26, 2018 10:50 am

Just wondering why so many Latin wannabees glorify Venezuela but don’t give a s*h*i*t about their own country.

And most of the time these wannabees are trying to make this point while arguing with Filipino forumers.

It is actually very amusing to see some Ricans, Trinis, Nicaraguans stomp their “expertise” here and namedrop Venezuela when their own candidates tend to clap horribly in pageants in recent years.

As far as I know. Filipinos are the ones calling themselves the New Venezuela. With only 3 weak Miss Universe and one MW.

Correction, Nina: It was never The Philippines that claimed they're the "New Venezuela" but only Mdme. Stella Marquez de Araneta. The Filipino fans have always been supportive to Venezuelan candidates even during the dark days of Philippine pageantry. The Filipinos derived inspiration from Venezuela in mastering the art of pageantry so please do not get the story twisted.

It was a COLOMBIAN who called Philippines as the new Venezuela. Why don’t ask her, Nina? Talk to the Colombian who runs the biggest pageant in the Philippines!

I do not know how Nina concluded that Pia and Megan were weak titleholders when, in fact, MUO created a title for Pia as the very first "Miss Universe Ambassador" for being the best Miss Universe titleholder thus far. In regard to Megan, MWO owner Julia Morley even tagged her not as "Miss World 2013" but "Miss World Forever". Julia even extended Megan's contract with MWO after her reign in 2013 was finished and up to now, Megan still continues to host the annual pageant since 2014. Megan also raised more than US$2M for the organisation that by the time the 2014 pageant commenced, Julia told the candidates that whoever succeeds Megan would have a big shoe to fill in. In light of these, would you kindly elaborate how you came to the conclusion that the winners from the Philippines were weak titleholders, please, Nina?

I mean if you really go there and talk useless shit i will gladly take you down memory lane and remind you the failed attemps you had to go though not just in Venezuela but also in Colombia. I mean you very well saw the effort, grace and results latinas gain with training on this side of the world that you wanted to mimic it, but anyways here we go:

1. BPCI sent Miriam Quiambao to train at beauty school in Venezuela under the guidance of Osmel Sousa for a week. The training focuses on make-up tutorial, passarella (walking), and speech. At the end of the Miss Universe 1999 she placed 1st Runner Up to Mpule Kwelagobe of Botswana.

2.Zorayda Ruth Andam, Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2001, spent almost a week in Caracas, Venezuela under also with beauty queen czar, Osmel Souza. She underwent days of intensive training in stage hair and make-up, projection, pasarella or walking, speech lessons and social graces. The very same training that Miss Philippines Universe 1999, Miriam Quiambao went through! Zorayda bears a striking resemblance to Miriam. However, she failed to enter the Top 10.

3.Karen Loren Agustin, Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2002 went to Colombia for training under the supervision of Javier Murillo, a well-known trainer of Miss Universe 1994 First Runner Up Carolina Gomez. Also with her were her co- Binibinis : Katherine Ann Manalo ( Bb. Pilipinas- World) and Kristine Alzar (Bb. Pilipinas International). 2/3 FLOPPED

4. Carla May Balingit, Bb. Pilipinas 2003 had a month-long pageant training in Cartagena, Colombia. She competed at Miss Universe 2003 but unplaced.

5.Before going to Japan for Miss International 2003, Jhezarie Games Javier was trained in Venezuela and Colombia on grace and poise, and attended Nippongo classes at
Berlitz Center. She was unplaced.

6.Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2004 Maricar Balagtas took up a crash course in poise, make-up, dressing properly, ramp modelling in Colombia. Maricar also didn't place in Miss Universe 2004 held in Ecuador.

7. Gionna Cabrera, Miss Universe Philippines 2005 won Miss Universe Miss Photogenic Award, but was unplaced.

8.Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Lia Andrea Ramos underwent a month long training and make-over under Colombian pageant gurus Javier Murillo and designer Alfredo Barraza. She won Miss Photogenic Award in Miss Universe held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, USA. Also with her in Colombia are her fellow 2006 Binibini titleholders : Anna Maris Igpit, Bb. Pilipinas World 2006 and Denille Lou Valmonte, both are unplaced.

9.Anna Theresa Licaros failed to make the cut during Miss Universe 2007 in Mexico. She took up a crash course in poise, make-up, dressing properly, ramp modelling in Colombia.

10.Jennifer Barrientos, Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2008 didn’t make the cut on the 15 semi-finalists in Miss Universe 2008 Pageant in Vietnam. Jennifer wore a simple beige gown with front slit and crystals by Alfredo Barraza she fitted in Colombia.

11. Miss Universe Philippines 2009 Bianca Manalo went to Colombia prior to arriving in Nassau, Bahamas for Miss Universe for final touches. Like other Binibinis, she trained in “poise and grace” in Colombia before she competes with around 80 other contestants from the same number of countries in the 58th Miss Universe Pageant. A report from RCN Colombia told that Bianca had underwent a surgery to remove excess fats on her belly and to give her body the needed sexy curves.

The video also reported that had some colorization procedure to improve her skin tones/ complexion before flying to the Bahamas. She was unplaced.

12.Shamcey Supsup was the last Miss Universe Philippines who was sent to Colombia to train for Miss Universe. She stayed in Colombia for 10 days for final touches of her training including final fittings for her wardrobes, evening gown and national costume before proceeding to Sao Paulo, Brazil where she placed as Third Runner Up. DESERVING, I've said many times she's my fav.

Anyways this goes to show not to mess with my country, you pag pag eater! 2/3 of the girls we sent to Katy placed and Katy doesnt even work for Miss Venezuela. So please think about the shit you're gonna say next time you include my country in anything. How dare you try to act slick with me!

Maybe the food stamp dependent froumer from welfare island meant that the Filipino Miss Universes are "weak" in twerking. =;)) =;)) =;))

If I may add, these Filipino queens won when there were no Filipino judges or designers dressing the girls. And they won outside of the Philippines.

Don’t call me pag pag when you look very dirty. And oh my ass is perfectly clean. Naturally hairless and spotless.

Anyway, did my post hurt your minidick?

Pageant delusion affects everyone. Filipinos and latinos alike. But sadly, some Latinos, especially Nicaraguans, has far way big delusions about their status.

Philippines gained nothing? You sure about that? Where were you hiding the last 10 years? Hiding/riding Venezuala’s cloak maybe?

I can read all right that is why I am responding to you. Bimbo

Go talk about your flops then and stop telling stories like youre from Venezuela.

I am all ears about Nicaragua’s relevance in pageants. Go enlighten me please.

I am quite bewildered why you keep blabbering that we gained NOTHING. Perhaps, from you’re point of view, it’s nothing.

It’s like you will never understand it unless you experience it. So tell me when did Nicaragua win anything? Uhm.....? Nothing right? Haha.

And that is what you call obsession for Filipinas. Haha

It just shows how diligently you follow our ladies.

Thank you for the effort. But seriously, your comprehension is way out there.

Perhaps, you need to tighten some screws before you attempt to clap back at me again.

Youre so kindergarten.

I am terribly rude for butting in but see my underlined part on the first parts of this reply. You say that we are mimicing the way Latinxs people train their girls, yet it is very VERY ironic that despite all the evidence of foreign /training/ we get from Latin people only ONE - JUST SHAMCEY SUPSUP - was able to ... I don't know, can we say benefit from it? Because Shamcey already had a huge chunk of her training her after Venus' training was successful here. And as far the TEAS ARE SPILLEDT FOR THE GODS, Shamcey only flew to Colombia to get her dress fitted to her. Her catwalk was designed by Jonas Gaffud himself! Okay, so the Colombian trainer might have fined-tuned it a bit, but puhlease, do not grab someone else's cookies because you dunk yours in the wrong milk henny.

Do we really have to copy something that we don't benefit from? I MEAN REALLY??? THANK YOU FOR FUCKING NOTHING! =;))

At least when we Filipinos train foreign girls, they get results. The first Miss International crown, the first BIG 5 crown of some obscure, ingrateful country was from her training here in the country.

And one last thing. Katy Pulido might not work for Osmel and the MVO but isnt she the one holding the regional franchise of Miss Aragua?

To say that the Philippines has not gained nothing the past years is to discredit what it has achieved. If everything is just pure hype why is it that some national directors are sending their girls to the Philippines to be trained? And I'm not just referring to Southeast Asian girls but also European, and African girls.

If the powerhouse status of the Philippines is just here in Missosology, why did BBC bother to feature the Philippines in its documentary about beauty pageants? The only other country featured in the past was Venezuela.

Now, how are these products of the Filipino forumers' imagination here in this forum?

Funny thing tho is, Philippines still did BETTER than Colombia and all other latin countries in all major and minor pageants set aside Venezuela. #FACT Those training in Colombia were actually sabotaging filipina Queens in general. So your point being, "the effort, grace and results latinas gain with training on this side of the world that you wanted to mimic it" went down the drain. It's always just VENEZUELA my dear. :%))
