I think it will look better without those two dangling tassel like hats on both sides. It became like a lantern because of those two. Without that it looks more beautiful and unique

Indeed! Who would have thought that indigenous earth materials can be used as fashionable dresses for beauty contestants?
Only the organizers of Miss Eco International can bring out such fantastic idea.
I'm glad that there is finally a pageant dedicated to our planet Earth, and not just world peace and stopping wars.

MISS ECO INTERNATIONAL 2018 delegates were presented to the foreign and local members of the press at the conference hall of Bibliotheca Alexandrina. It sure is getting more difficult coming up with favorites for Miss Eco year after year. The quality of candidates in this edition has visibly improved. Unfortunately, some of the participating delegates missed today's press presentation because of their late arrival in Egypt. They will however have their own exposure to television and the press as they join the other pre-pageant activities. All eyes were fixed and camera lenses were focused on the statuesque beauty queens as they regally introduce themselves individually to several media personnels present at the event. Dr. Amaal Rezk, the founder & CEO of Miss Eco International told the press that the pageant will help boost the country's tourism sector as the North African country is hosting the international beauty contest. Now on its 4th year, the pageant is being supported by Egypt's government and the United Nations. It also aims to find an emissary for environmental causes.
The contestants had the chance to explore what used to be considered as the largest library in the world. Initialy built in 400 BC, later burnt down by Julius Caesar, destroying all the ancient books. Considered as true beacon of culture and history, it was rebuilt to cater millions of books on arts, history, philosophy, and science within an extremely technologically advanced complex.
Amber Bernachi, the reigning queen from Canada, said she was truly lucky to hold the title and embrace her role to promote tourism in the host country - "Egypt is very special to me. I became a UN goodwill ambassador and received a diplomatic passport valid for 6 years. I am encouraging all participants to support the pageant's causes. It will be an exciting journey for all contestants as they tour aroud the wonderful sites of Egypt in the coming days."
Miss Venezuela Leix Collins, a student of Law, couldn't contain her excitement to finally set foot in Egypt. "It's my first time to travel outside of my country. When I saw the Nile River outside of my plane window, I had to control my tears. Since I was a little girl, I've been fascinated with the pyramids and now I am living my dream to not just represent Venezuela but also experience Egypt.
Miss Vietnam, Nguyễn Thư Dung, a famous model & actress in her country talked about her first impression in Egypt. "The country is very beautiful with rich culture and great architecture. The library we visited today is an amazing jewel, a marvelous house of books and knowledge. I can't wait to travel around Egypt in the coming days.VIEW PHOTO GALLERY (159 shots)
