LE COMPTE A REBOURS A COMMENCE. As usual, the Ivorian candidates are stunning! However, this year 2018 seems special, a bit like 2015. Many of the girls selected for the final have the potential to represent very well Cote d'Ivoire in international competitions. As a reminder, the COMICI will be selecting 2 candidates throughout 12 regions of Cote d'Ivoire, and also, one candidate representing the Ivorian diaspora in each of the following regions: France, Italy, and USA. Similarly to last year, they ll be a winner and 4 runner up.
So far here are the finalists:
Batch 1Miss Sud Comoe 2018 - Erica Kolia (1m75)Erica is one of the public's favorite (and my personal favorite). She is beautiful and looks quite similar to Miss Cote d'Ivoire 1998, Leticia N'Cho (arguably one of the most beautiful Miss the country of Ivory Coast ever had). She is poised and has a very regal look; however, she is not really campaigning on social media as some of her fiercest competitors. I don't really know how much this will hinder her chances to get closer to the crown, however, since let say 2014, all the Winners were campaigning actively on social media before to be elected as Miss Cote d'Ivoire, and this definitively helped them boost their visibility and get more support from the public. So Miss Erica, mets toi au travail!
Update: Erica woke up and her popularity increased! I am confident she will be the Miss Cote d'Ivoire 2018....
sinon ca na qu'a me serre 1st Runner Up Sud Comoe - Agbo Myriam (1m72)Myriam is one pretty girl with a stunning body. Personally I ve not heard from her, but the girl looks good and have all her chances to get the crown or be a runner up, if she works hard for it.
Miss Haut Sassandra 2018 - Reine N'Guessan (1m69)Reine is effectively a QUEEN. She is naturally beautiful, intelligent (on paper for sure), poised, and elegant! She is definitively among the public's favorites with already 11k likes on facebook. For now, she doesn't show any con's.....; however, given the fact that the
Height criteria for the COMICI can be quite important....I guess it can be a con's.
1st Runner Up Haut Sassandra 2018 - Andrea Benie (1m70)Andrea is also a pretty girl, quite charming, with a hell of a glowing skin! I can smell her aura from far, and she is definitively my darkhorse!
Miss Loh Djiboua - Claverie Lamine (1m72)Lamine is also a stunning girl with smooth skin. She is beautiful, has a nice smile, and is a good contender for the crown if she works hard for it.
1st Runner Up Loh Djiboua - Kady Cherif (1m70)Kady is a cute girl, but IMHO I don't see her near the podium, there are more girls with better potential; however we never know, she may surprise many (including myself).
Update: I am starting to change my mind since I saw more of her. Kady is pretty, she expresses herself well enough, and might pull off a surprise.
Miss Yamoussoukro - Melissa Sery (1m72)Melissa is very pretty, but personally I have never been a fan. I can't feel her aura, I just see her pretty face...and there are many pretty faces this year, so this can't guarantee her a thing. Plus her presentation video was a flop, she confirmed that she doesn't really have charisma and lack potential for international competitions. She needs to really work hard on how she carries and expresses herself in order to come on top.
1st Runner Up Yamoussoukro - Jemima Gbato(1m74)What a charming girl! She is definitively one of my favorite with Kolia. She is classy, intelligent, has talent (dancing), and you can sense her aura from far far away. I just love her and I believe she can bring Cote d'Ivoire in the spotlight at any international competition.
Miss Gbeke - Fatem Suy (1m68)Fatem is a good looking girl, and grabbed a lot of attention when she won with her unconventional hair style. I really like her but I've not seen nor heard much from her. Hopefully she ll wake up and kick ass!
Update:Fatem is really rising from the A-SHHHEEEEES!!!!
Her fan base has increased, she seems very motivated and is campaigning like no one else!!!! Go Fatem!!!!!
1st Runner Up Gbeke - Lathi Bakayoko (1m71)Lathi! Arguably the prettiest this year (best face + plastic). She is stunning and shinning! And apparently, she is very competitive. Physically, I like her, she is a bomb... but I have not heard much from her yet. She is also among my personal favorites.
Update: I also changed my mind about Lathi, she actually needs a full face makeup to look very good! On a natural standpoint, there are better candidates.
Miss N'Zi Comoe - Anita Diabagate (1m72)Anita is a reaaal STUNNER!!!! She is beautiful! I like her, I just hope I could hear more from her. She can be a good contender for the crown as well.
1st Runner Up N'zi Comoe - Kady Kone (1m80)Kady is a model! She is also pretty and has that innocent look! She is the tallest contestant so far, and we know how this could be an asset at Miss Cote d'Ivoire. I am looking to hear more from her! But so far, she deserves her place at the final and is a good contender for the crown!
Batch 2Miss Goh (Gagnoa) - Olive KonanBased on the pics alone, imho, she is among the weakest candidates. Her pro's are that she keeps it up with the natural hairstyles, which is authentic, she is cute with a great smile, flawless skin, and has a great silhouette; however, her pics don't do her justice, she needs to elaborate more on her makeup and post better quality pictures.
1st Runner Up Goh (Gagnoa) - Marie Ange M'GbakouMarie Ange is a pretty girl as well. She has been quiet so far and I don't have much info yet. She can do good at the final if she works hard for it.
Miss Iffou - N'Guessan Carole (1m71)Carole is among the most popular candidates. She has a lot of supporters. Personally, I think she has an amazing body but is a bit plain in the face department. Still, she can perform well at the final.
1st Runner Up Iffou - Awa Coulibaly (1m72)Awa looks so cute and innocent. I really like her. For the crown I believe there are better candidates, but she may upset some by snatching up a runner-up spot.
Miss Gontougo - Fatym Gouesse Bah (1m72)Fatim is personally one of my favorites. Although her pics don't do her justice, I believe based on the preselections, she is among the prettiest candidates (face+body). She also seems very dynamic. I expect her to perform well at the final. She may not get the crown but she can be a potential runner-up.
1st Runner Up Gontougo - Assadiya Kouablan (1m70)I love Assadiya. She is such a natural beauty. I have 2 darkhorses and she is one of them. She has a beautiful facial structure, an amazing body, and is among the candidates with perfect diction. I am confident that she will perform well at the final.
Miss Indenie Djuablin - Amy Soumahoro (1m69)Amy is cute. I am not a great fan and personally I think there are a lot of better candidates, but we never know.
1st Runner Up - Keline Willy (1m78)Keline is a beauty and seems to have the perfect waist-to-hip ratio; I' ve not heard much from her, but it would not be a surprise if she performs well at the final.
Miss San Pedro - Lorraine Kouakou (1m72)Lauraine Kouakou is cute. I heard her and I was not impressed. I do not expect an outstanding performance from her. But again, we never know.
1st Runner Up San Pedro - Rebecca Kangoute (1m69)Rebecca is such a pretty girl. I hope she ll reveal what she is up to before the final.
Miss Korhogo - Christine KoneChristine is so elegant and degage quelque chose! I like her, and I am quite optimistic that she may deliver a good performance at the final.
1st Runner Up Korhogo - Stephanie OueheIt's so difficult to find pics of this candidate. Judging from the preselections, she is quite good looking, and I hope she ll reveal herself before the final so that we can know her a lil bit better.
Miss France Cote d'Ivoire - Rahyssa MouhiI was not expecting her to win, it was quite a surprise. She is pretty, but I believe some of the national candidates are better for the crown.
Miss Cote d'Ivoire Benelux - Audrey Roxanne ZerboI like Audrey, she is beautiful and elegant. She looks confident with great self composure. I expected her to win the Miss CIV Benelux, and I am confident that she will place in the TOP 12 at least. I believe, she is a great contender for the crown, now the fact that she is a Diaspora candidate may play against her, because since Miss CIV 2008 (Murielle Nanie), no one from the Diaspora has ever win the title of Miss Cote d'Ivoire; however since 2014, there was three 1st runner-up coming from the Diaspora. So good luck Audrey!
