Should Venezuela withdraw from Miss Universe, MW, MI, MGI 2018?

Postby ajsy0203 » Fri Apr 06, 2018 4:58 am

As you know the pageant will not complete without the presence of Miss Venezuela but with the recent sex and corruption scandal surrounding the Miss Venezuela Organization, do you think it is better to withdraw their delegates at Miss Universe 2018, Miss World 2018, Miss International 2018, Miss Gwand International 2018 and other international & regional pageants that MVO involved respectively?

Even if Stephany Venezuela is proven to be involved ....Belonging to the sex industry is non issue to Americans .
Right now there's a porn star accusing Donald Trump of sexual assault and people are defending her.
The MUO loves issues involving human rights , more so women's rights .

The issue is deeper than people think .
It's discrimination against women who belong to the sex industry .
It's also about women being subjected to prostitution .
It's a goldmine for MUO being a vanguard of women's rights .

I feel sorry for the girls who will compete this year. Personally, I hope MVO gets out of its own mess before the international pageants. But if you'll ask me, they should not compete yet until the issue gets resolved. MVO should not hold a pageant this year and just send the current winners next year. Of course, I do hope I get to see Stephany side by side with our very own Catriona.
I didn't know I was looking for love until I found you, Babe!

The girls should not compete this year, for their sake. They should not be subjected to further scrutiny outside than they already are in their own country right now.

I believe being Miss Universe is not about being able to preserve your dignity in the name of the crown, whether you are involved in prostitution or bribery, as long as you have the heart and the determination to help others, then u can be miss universe

Pageants already get a bad rap for shallowness, objectification of women, and all that crap. There’s no point making it worse by inviting prostitut*s to compete. Please. 8->

It doesn’t hurt to wait ‘till the investigation is over and the suspension lifted, so that everybody competes without any unnecessary baggage and stigma.

seems like everyone says no :%))
Well, if they are still capable of paying whole of the preparation/roundtrip flight fees and these pageant license fees, why should they withdraw? I mean what is pageant without Venezuela?
My curiousity is that, how is it possible that the MVO still got the much pennies from them the sponsors to pay the license fees (which some of them are just expensive as hell), while in some areas of their country people still have to stand in line for 3 or 4 hours just to get basic needs and the inflation of their currency is really high?

Bow down and wait. Turkey will be back sometimes.
