Is there a contract that forbade Big 5 queens compete?

Postby ajsy0203 » Fri Mar 09, 2018 12:54 pm

Do you think the contracts of Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Earth stated that a winner should not compete in other international pageants even after her reign is over unlike at Miss International (1986 winner's case & 1979 winner's very special case when she competed at Mrs. World 2005) and Miss Supranational (reportedly 2015 winner will compete again at a national pageant)?

NONE

THAT BEING SAID THERE IS AN UNWRITTEN RULE THAT WINNERS OF MAJOR AND BIG BEAUTY PAGEANTS DON'T COMPETE AGAIN IN OTHER PAGEANTS ANYMORE BECAUSE THEIR REIGN IS VERY FULFILLING AND THE REWARDS THEY REAPED DURING THEIR TIME AS THE WINNER.

THAT'S WHY NO ONE CONSIDERS MISS INTERCONTINENTAL AS A MAJOR PAGEANT, BECAUSE 2 OF THEIR WINNERS COMPETED AGAIN - LARA DUTTA WHO COMPETE AGAIN IN MISS UNIVERSE AND WON IN 2000, AND JESSICA HARTMANN WHO COMPETED IN MISS AMERICA

IF IT IS COMFIRMED STEPHANIA STEGMAN WILL COMPETE AGAIN, THEN MISS SUPRANATIONAL IS NOT CONSIDERED AS AN IMPORTANT PAGEANT AND SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN ADDED TO THE MAJOR PAGEANT

Winnie Omkawke competed at Miss Globe after winning ME. She did not place, so at least this is not the case for ME.

No MW or Miss Universe winner would want to compete for another crown.

It is an unwritten rule. And it lessens the credibility of a pageant if a former winner would want to compete for another (rival) pageant.

WHERE DID IT SAY WINNIE OMWAKWE COMPETED IN MISS GLOBE AFTER WINNING MISS EARTH?

WINNIE WAS ONLY MISS AIR AND TOOK OVER THE TITLE ON MAY 2003. SO IF SHE DID COMPETE IN MISS GLOBE BEFORE MAY 2003 THEN IT DOESN'T COUNT BECAUSE SHE IS NOT THE OFFICIAL QUEEN.

If Winnie competed at Miss Globe which she did not compete, the contracts for runners-up were not existed at that time until 2009.

Since 2009, all the final 4 queens signed contracts that included she can't compete in any other national or international pageants during their 1 year reigning period. That was the case of Punika and Bruna when their titles were stripped by Carousel.

Catriona is NOT the Miss World 2016 (kahit para sa atin, sya talaga). International titleholder ang pinag-uusapan. What the TS is trying to point out, yung mga kagaya ba ni Demi Leigh ba pwede pang mag Miss World? Manushi pwedeng mag- Miss Universe, after their respective reigns?

Ang OA nyo lang mag-react ah. Catriona fan ako pero ang OA ng reaction.

I searched online regarding your claim that Winnie Omwakwe competed at Miss Globe after winning ME (She technically won Miss Air not Miss Earth 2002 then succeeded Dzejla Glavovic during the infancy of the pageant) but I can't find anything other than your REPEATED AND EVOLVING statements here in Missosology that she participated in Miss Global pageant during her reign (now after winning ME) , then you claimed "Miss Global Quest" "Miss Globe Quest" then "Miss Global Beauty Quest" and now "Miss Globe". What is your source? Any proof? Can you post the link here?

The fact is, she participated in Miss Universe Kenya and became a finalist and then she competed in Miss Tourism Kenya in 2002 and won first runner up prior to Miss Earth 2002.

true that its unwritten rules..

but only four pageants winner do followed it..
namely: ms.universe,ms.world,ms.earth, ms.international winners.

why, because theres nothing for them to proved.. winning that title is the ultimate goal..
and lets be realistic these four pageants are considered major..because of its international recognitions.. in tems of platforms, influences and popularities..
compared to other international beauty pageants..

note: Runner-ups are different cases..

You can probably find the information by searching deep in Misso itself or maybe you have to go back to the PBKT board to do that. Maybe Pawee or Ric can help find the information.
I remember that a lot of us were quite disappointed by the news and there was an effort to keep the information hush, because exactly like some people here are saying now, it did not seem to reflect well on ME. But at that point it was a very young pageant, so the desire to recompete was more understandable, if only for prize money.

This is so Trumpian! :%)) Make an insinuation and hope people believe it. LOL at “there was an effort to keep the information hush”. Why would people do that then? Miss Earth wasn’t even part of the Big Four. Since the pageant was so young then, do you really think people would have been bothered if Winnie competed in another pageant after her Earth stint?

Since you seem to remember it so well...why don’t you search for that info yourself and show us proof. If you’re gonna make a claim about someone’s history...you better be ready to show us something. Otherwise, it’s just the same old BS you like to espouse about Miss Earth.
