By the way, if Miss International is really an anti-African pageant, how come they placed Namibia's Paulina Malulu in the top 15 of Miss International 2012?! Knowing that Paulina was the first (and only) Namibian to participate in Miss International. (She participated later in Miss World 2013, Miss Universe 2013 and Miss Earth 2014 but did not place in any!)

So, a year after, countries from Africa did not send a delegate to Miss International except for the new invitees, such as Cameroon, Gabon and Namibia. Mauritius also joined, but it was not their first time to compete.
So, as a strategy to clean its image of being anti-black, lots of women of color made it into the Top 15 of MI 2012. That included Miss Namibia. Unfortunately, that was also the last year that the former owner managed the MI pageant, with Japan winning its first and only title.
