One need not be a beauty queen, an actor or even a politician in order to adopt a social platform that can make a difference in other people’s lives.
That’s what two-time Bb. Pilipinas winner and former actress-singer Toni Daya-Luetgers learned later in life after giving up showbiz spotlight to take the real-life role of a housewife and mother to two daughters in Atlanta, Georgia, where she is also an active community leader in the Filipino-American and Asian-American communities.
Among her community and charitable undertakings, the one that’s closest to her heart is the Galing Foundation, Inc. (GFI), which she and husband Scott Luetgers (a global sales leader for General Electric) founded with the underprivileged Filipino children in mind.
