You know why I'm very happy he won???
There is no denying that Phelps is a swimming god.
He had great lead but during the last 50m, I really felt that Le Clos pushed to his limits to catch up.
And I like that a lot.
.
........When he won I was like OMFG!!!!!!!!

Cheers wrote:Charming guy. Read his story today and it was actually Phelps who inspired him to strive for the best as Phelps was his idol since he was 12!
It was funny because Phelps' mother thought it was her son who won, hence, the 'clap' LOL

Sports commentaries say Phelps was bothered by his falling headcap that he failed to grab the finish with his hands at once.

I was able to get in for London Olympics but my company refused to let me go on leave for 2 months. I met Chad 2 years ago here in Singapore when i volunteered for the Youth Olympics in the Olympic Village. He's such a lovely and nice guy. He's my friend in facebook. Everybody loves him in the Olympic Village because of his humbleness. he won a gold and a silver here 2 years ago.
Chad is on my left...
BEST OF LUCK dear.

Awwww.....that's so bad..I mean sad but .........Phelps has won enough gold medals in his lifetime and that in itself is phenomenal.
Everything happens for a reason I suppose.
Even though it was just for a simple thing like his falling headcap.........I think this was God's way of saying give someone else a chance for once.
Chad needed his moment to shine and he deserved it. He is a legend for me.![]()

That's true.
Am genuinely happy for him too.
Love love the pure joy of winning
drawn on his face.
Unassuming.
he was
surprised at his win
and his joy
became uncontained.
Touching.
A grateful swimmer.
