Hello, boring Misso forum, that once was a source of so much fun, drama, and colors, but now is very lifeless and bland.
Anyways, it's Miss World season, and I'm not a big fan of this pageant. I won't watch the final night, and most of these girls are probably not going to make it to the top, but I couldn't ignore them because there are so many! I don't know if it's because we're approaching the finale, but Miss World 2012 has way more beautiful contestants than Miss Universe 2012.
These are my top beauty picks for Miss World. I took into consideration candid pictures and videos.
ALBEEZ TOP 16 BEAUTIES FOR MISS WORLD 2012
1. COLOMBIA
Barbara Turbay
I think it's pretty predictable that THE top beauty pick for Miss World is Barbara Turbay. I think it's the blend of mystery and seductivity she possesses in her dark eyes, combined with her overall commanding and intense presence. She is enticingly beautiful, and her smile signals of her aristocratic origins. Barbara is without a doubt, the most memorable face of Miss World 2012. Her features are reminiscent of an era of classical beauties, circa 50's-60's and so they are therefore perfect for pin-up modeling. I'd be SO happy if this Colombian goddess wins.
2. RUSSIA
Elizaveta Golovanova
There is something very angelic, innocent, yet at the same time queenly and majestic about her. Maybe it's her long hair. Maybe it's the fact that she doesn't need make-up to appear gorgeous. I think I've seen only a few pictures of her with make-up and I was stunned. This girl is an ethereal beauty, and I regret not noticing her as much as she deserved. I only noticed her while making this beauty list and immediately I recognized that she has an edge over the other girls, although, need I say, that this edge is very soft. She's the kind of girl that would win this pageant and deserve it, like Ksenia Sukhinova. Elizaveta is the epitome of Russian royalty.
3. GREECE
Maria Tsagaraki
I think some people will be shocked I put her as my number 3 choice, but just look at her face. Yes, she may lack presence as per compared to other girls. But just look at her face. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with it and all her features are gorgeous: full lips, dreamy eyes, Mediterranean skin. I was a fan of hers even before Miss World, but I don't think she'll make it very far in the pageant sense since she's not as competitive and playful as the other girls. Maria may not realize her potential, but at the end of the day, she probably has all of the men and women at home fawning over her.
4. CZECH REPUBLIC
Linda Bartosova
Linda is the kind of stunner I think of when people talk about how many gorgeous women there are in the Czech Republic. At some angles she looks like Candice Swanepoel and after fixing her teeth, she almost looks like a goddess. I love her platinum blonde hair, and she appears very down-to-earth as well.
5. WALES
Sophie Moulds
Without a doubt, Sophie Moulds possesses the eyes of Miss World 2012. They are electric yet at the same time, resemble the waters of Bora Bora or Tahiti, even though Wales is a pretty un-tropical place. Her smile is also very innocent too.
6. FRANCE
Delphine Wespiser
Just by looking at Delphine, you can tell that she's very confident, and this radiates and emphasizes her beauty. Also, the combination of red hair and hazel eyes stands out. Although she still needs to work on her smile and needs to whiten her teeth, Delphine is a true stunner with the potential to become even more beautiful.
7. ALBANIA
Floriana Garo
Okay, so maybe you might accuse me of being nationalistic for putting her at the top, but her pictures and videos speak for themselves. She may not have gone through the Top Model competition, but who cares? She's still gorgeous to any seeing eye and appears fresh in candids all the time. She's sexy and charismatic. In my opinion, Albania should send mediocre candidates to Miss World like they have done in the past years so they are not wasted like Floriana.
8. PERU
Giuliana Zevallos
Giuliana is very consistent in her photographs. She has warm eyes and her hair is absolutely luscious. In motion, she's very telegenic and likeable. Overall, she seems like the kind of girl guys wouldn't be hesitant to meet.
9. THE NETHERLANDS
Nathalie den Dekker
Absolutely gorgeous in motion, Nathalie is definitely underrated. And very consistent. What is it with all these Dutch beauties and their consistency? She kind of reminds me of honey.
10. GUADELOUPE
Brigitte Golabkan
There's no denying that Brigitte is sensual. She is an island beauty that belongs on the music videos of Pitbull and all those other Top 40 artists that brag about how many beautiful women are after them. I love her lips and her hair!
11. UKRAINE
Karyna Zhyronkina
Ukraine never disappoints with their beauties. Her eyes are seductive and her smile is beautiful.
12. MEXICO
Mariana Berumen
She's very charming. Maybe a bit too conceited, but she does possess a lot of sex appeal.
13. POLAND
Weronika Szmajdzińska
She has very sweet, beady honey eyes and beautiful lips. She would have been higher on this list if her organization took after her to make her look more polished.
14. ITALY
Jessica Bellinghieri
At some angles, she looks like a goddess, whereas in others, she looks very bland, so her overall inconsistensy threw me off. Nevertheless, I liked her a lot in motion and she deserves a place on this list.
15. VIETNAM
Vũ Thị Hoàng My
Vu Thi Hoang My has this aura of sweetness about her. Again, she is one of those candidates that has a lot more potential than she realizes.
16. PUERTO RICO
Janelee Chaparro
Janelee's best asset is the contrast of her creamy white skin against her dark eyes and dark hair, kind of reminiscent of Cynthia Olavarria. She is sexy, though does not manage to convince me in all of her photos. Yet, it's a very competitive year so kudos to her!
WORTH MENTIONING
SLOVAKIA - In contrast to her more angelic-looking Czech counterpart, Kristina's face scream sex. Kristina would be a great candidate for Slovakia at Miss Universe.
AUSTRALIA - I like the vibes I get when I look at her.
GUAM - A great candidate for Guam! She is very pretty.
PARAGUAY - I am absolutely in love with her professional shots, but she tends to fade in the background in candids and in motion.
ECUADOR - I liked her a lot in the beginning. I have no idea why she faded though.
ISRAEL - Lots of people think she's some kind of superstar, but I don't think she's that great. Yes, she's pretty, but there are lots of girls who deserve more attention than her.
ENGLAND - Pretty, but not pretty enough in this competitive year.
CHINA - Lots of people are in love with her. She looks great in phone candid shots but does not impress me that much in high resolution pictures.
NEPAL - Same as Paraguay. Absolutely gorgeous in professional pictures; arrival pics weren't that impressive.
All in all, I am floored by the amount of beauties participating in Miss World this year. And I just noticed that most of my Top 16 were smiling (very beautifully need I add) in the candid pictures I chose LOL.
