It is not a regular to give away to anyone who copies haute couture by famous designer but to someone who has indeed thought of portraying exclusivity with glimpse of edginess in the creation.Take a look at this winners and finalist picture and you will understand how scoring works.
The creations are very unique and has lot of details that is taken care of. But also there is a symbolisation of their unique culture they come from. For example French Polynesia is wearing a gown that depicts a dress worn by the women in her country with feathers and necklace.
Of course, the contestant is also judged on how she she carried the gown. Expect something very unique creations to be recognized for this award and not the couture line you see in high end brands.
