She should be eligible by now right? Especially since she went unplaced at MI 2007.Everybody can agree that Esha Gupta was robbed at Miss International 2007. I think she should get a second chance and be our rep to Miss Universe 2012 or 2013 because she is MU caliber and she will probably do very well there. She is only 23 right now so it's perfect. She is also more polished now and experienced. India needs to start recycling wasted beauties just like a lot of other countries do, then we have a higher chance of winning.I know this is completely up to her and I AM SHE org. and not up to us. What we need is for I AM SHE to approach Esha Gupta and talk to her about it. If she agrees great, if not then it's fine too, but it's worth a shot. So I think what we need to do or those that agree that Esha Gupta should be sent to Miss Universe should try to tweet Sushmita Sen this idea or tell I AM SHE on their official facebook page. The more people that do this the better because then they might actually consider it. Let's just hope for the best.

Shes gorgeous one of my fav miss india contestants in history, but she would never go for miss universe not now anyway. shes made her name in bollywood stared in jaanat 2 and is currently filming for raaz 3.. why would she even want to bother going for miss universe...

She can be convinced. If she wins Miss Universe she will be more famous than she is especially outside of India. She'd probably like that. It's not like she has to throw away her Bollywood career to compete. She can still continue with that she just needs a year or so off. I get why she wouldn't do it because no one goes from pageants to Bollywood and then back to pageants, but she can actually gain a lot from it. To be honest I don't see Esha becoming an Aishwarya, Priyanka, or even Lara in Bollywood. She's like Dia who gets films now, but years from now she'll be looking for work. It's just what I think. I'm hoping she doesn't go the Malika Sherawat way and turn vulgar just to be relevant. Winning Miss Universe will open new doors for her. Who knows maybe even in Hollywood. It will definitely bring her more fame. Like I said, it's worth a shot from our side if we believe she deserves it and if we want to see India with our 3rd Universe title.

You have a point here.
I think Bollywood can wait because........ Esha is young and beautiful so she should expore more of her options IMO
