100% confrimed...ON JULY 15, OUR PRESIDENT SIGNED THE CONTRACT WITH mu organization ....tHE DELGATES WILL STAY ON punta cana Dominican Rep, and the final night will be in santo domingo.

I Just saw it on local news...Donald trump chosed my country to host the MU 2012 ON DECEMBER.....Also magaly febles already said it on national TV.....

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) -- The director of the Dominican Republic's Miss Universe contest says the international pageant is scheduled to be held in the Caribbean country this year.

Magaly Febles tells The Associated Press that the New York-based organization is waiting for Dominican tourism officials to approve its request to hold the pageant there. She says the country meets all the requirements to host the event, adding that organization officials liked the facilities they toured.

Tourist Department spokesman Napoleon de la Cruz says officials have no comment.

The organization's 61st pageant is scheduled for December, with Angola native Leila Lopes crowning her successor.

The Dominican Republic last hosted a Miss Universe pageant in 1977. It has won the contest only once, in 2003, when judges selected Amelia Vega.

This is exciting because República Dominicana is a gorgeous country, and I know the girls will have a really good time............ but I confess this makes me a bit anxious, having Magali hosting is not very pleasing, I am sure she will do anything to give Desirée and the Puerto Rican team a hard time, she's been already spilling her venom about it. I just hope this doesn't turn into a Brazil 2011, and we do get to see a fair competition. :| In the meantime, congratulations to the Dominican people and I wish this gives a huge boost to your tourism and therefore to your economy! =c3
