Oh dear. Greeks used to have a saying which apparently greeks use until today. "Πάς μη Ελλήν Bάρβαρος" which means
that everyone that's not greek is a barbar,not with today's meaning ofcourse,as barbars in ancient greece meant foreigners.
If my grandparents were Somalian,I wouldn't be greek. My father is Italian and even with an italian father in Greece I'm viewed as Greek - Italian rather than just Greek.
Greeks have a huge thing for what we call bloodline.They would never name Greek someone that doesn't have the same dna with them.
Arvanites came in Greece in 13th century. Regardless,than half of them are vlachophone greeks which learnt the arvanitic dialect to exchange and sell products with them and lived in their villages.This is why the arvanitic villages in Greece are not pure arvanitic but vlachoarvanitic.
Oh and the "oglou" darling was an ending for those that were living in regions in Turkey that used to be greek like Pontus (Black sea), Izmir,Istanbul,Asia Minor...
I have no idea where you saw the "circassian" last name, as circassians are not just irrelevant to Greece but I doubt Greeks even know their existence.
The "Tserkez" was used on Greeks of anatolian areas, that helped Circassians or the opposite. It was normal for Circassians and Greek refugees to help each other, they were "unwanted" by Turkey and they were giving to each other food and water or clothing to survive.
Usually Tserkez was used on Greeks by Turks that had friendships with circassians and by Greeks as the same but not as offensive.
But of course it's convenient for you to forget that Albanians carry themselves turkish last names & names.
Evi's last name at 50% chances was gaven to her ancestors from what occured as "nicknaming"
Kolokotronis for example, his real last name was different, but it was gaven to his greandfather from an arvanite because of his dark hair and big nose.
There is a huge list with greek last names and their meanings.
Deligianni for example meant crazy giannis , or big head giannis.
Many Greeks that didn't even live in regions with arvanites has arvanite last names as a result of nicknaming.Arvanitic language as turkish language was used as slang and mostly in villages.
Even now if she has albanian dna, it's not enough for you to call her albanian. She's not half,not even a quarter.
As I told you arvanites came to Greece from North Epirus, located in South Albania in 13th century.
