If you could be either water or fire, which would you be and why?




Rules:

4. The winner (1st place) will be the judge for the next day although some circumstances will force me to find a new judge either a runner up or a moderator.

Ladies and gentlemen, since our current judge, Charlie309r was not around, I contacted some of the most respected and highly sought-after forumers to form our panel for Pageant Question No. 4. I want to sincerely thank Jansenism (Pioneer), Louise (Graphic Designer), Thomas876 (Elite), Chase (Elite) and patch adams, md (Missosologist) who formed our judging panel.

Since I announced a different format for the winners starting yesterday, I asked the judges to review your answers and PM me their Top 10 in order according to their rank. There are corresponding scores to each positions and I totaled them to form your composite scores to arrive in the final results.

I believed both elements are essential in their own ways and means. but I have to choose water simply because it sustains LIFE as a whole.. It nourishes the human body, fuels a thirsty soul, and maintains physiologic equilibrium among living creatures. Because of that, WATER by itself is an elixir of the 21st century and beyond. I would rather be the one that is needed at that particular time. It just doesn't make sense that we are given a choice, yet, not consider the circumstances surrounding it. That being said, I believe that both water and fire are essential in life, and none of them is better than the other.

Setting fire under a cooker filled with water for prolonged hours will make the water boil then evaporate, fire here defeats water,,but , in comparison, firefighters put out erupting fires with water, here water conquers fire,.,Both of them are solid and strong elements,Both are essential daily needs, but, if we merge them together in the same melting-pot,would we get a change?

Well, aside from the fact that the major composition of our brain is water, still, I've always considered myself just like of a water.

You put me in a bottle, then I shape like a water.
You put me in a glass, then my shape is a glass.

And that power of the water is what we call "ADAPTABILTY".

It recognizes that life will bring us unforeseen challenges and if we are to honor our values and goals, we must adjust and learn as we go.
If we can be just like water, we can be able to adjust to the many changes the world we live in has.

As they say, "to succeed, one must be adaptable".

I preffered to be water, because water is life, I know both them is essential but since my body contains water and we can survive without food in 30 days but without water, we can only survive in span of 7 days because of dehydration atleast there a chance to survive even in 30 days..thank you..

Both are of equal importance in today's day to day living, if we consider fire and water's essential use. But if we weigh in the nature of these two elements i would rather choose water over fire. Water symbolizes life, it nourishes and sustain the basic faculties of every living organism. It has been around since the primordial days where the most basic unicellular organism aroused and became the complex network which we call now ecosystem. Humanity has been able to thrive even before fire has been discovered. Water has never been confined in its most basic liquid form. It has phases, from gaseous substance to solid ice whilst fire will only be fire. It is the most basic substance in the universe which replenish itself without consuming other matter.

Although water is more essential than fire. I prefer to be fire, because for me fire is a symbol of extreme desire. As a person I have extreme desires to achieve my aspiration in life, to be the best I can be in whatever I do, and to turn every failure as a catalyst to my success.

Thank you for the wonderful question, good evening ladies and gentlemen. For me, none of the above, neither water nor fire, cause I will make a third choice.
Well I chose BOTH. WATER and FIRE are both of equal importance, and if we will mix it together, it will turn to a water vapor that can be considered as AIR (although it is a moistened air, but atleast already cleaned and filtered as it was heated and evaporated by the fire, bacteria were killed.) And we all know that AIR is much needed than water and fire. As Miss Earth 2005 said, "for me AIR symbolizes LIFE, and this is what we breathe. We can survive for atleast 2 days without water, but without air, a minute is the longest time we can exist. That's why I chose both, so that I can have the third and much important element. Both elements are essential to have a balanced life because it is hard to live without one or the other. But if given a choice, I would desire water over fire because water is more powerful than fire. Water is used in every bearing of human existence. In fact, it is only water that quenches fire.

water and fire. they are both two strong elements and absolute necessity for existence of any living creatures. However, if i were to choose either one of them, I would prefer to be fire. though life without water is impossible, i believe without fire n its warmth, the formation of life would have been down to zero. the sun gives us warmth, n so does our mother earth and that too from the very core just like our own mother, and this very special feature of our planet and the sun gave us a beautiful home with fresh air, cool water and the perfect temperature, one of a kind and one in a million. so i would rather prefer to be fire as it signifies warmth, generosity n passion, the very ingredient for unity to make our world a better place to live in and to save our only home. I think both elements represent complementary things that you need in life. Both are necessary but both can destroy us, we must definitely not underestimate their power. Water symbolizes life, kindness and love while Fire represents strength, ability and desire. You cannot lead a life without any of them. However I believe that I am more on the human being side, so I'd choose to be water.
