MISS DOMINICAN REPUBLIC WORLD 2012- SALLY APONTE

Congrats on Sally Aponte and her director Diany Mota.
On August 18th, after a month of grueling challenge events, Sally made it into the the the 20th position of Miss World. Just severals points shy of making the second cut of the top 15, as confirmed by her National Director.

Sally managed to classify, in the top 25 of Talent, the top 57 of Top Model, the top 25 of Sports and Fitness (I believe she was in the top 10) and in the top 10 of Media, all which allowed her to slowly sneak into the top 20 of Miss World.

Congrats Sally, you did an unquestionable amazing job. Placing in Miss World after a 5 year drought in this contest and a 3 year drought internationally.

November 1st- Sally was a judge at Miss Petite.


October 22-27- Sally participated in Dominicana Moda 2012. During the week of fashion she walked for designers like Damaris Rubio, Johanna Gurssey, Leonel Lirio and Larissa Salcedo. More on page 10



September 4th- Invited to the finale of Miss Tourism Dominican Republic



July 18-August 18- Sally competed in Miss World 2012 and placed in the top 30 in 20th place.






July 26- Official portrait's are released.







July 16th-Sally departed today, on to head to Ordos China. First she'll make a stop in Miami to shop for some last minute outfits and then to Los Angeles where she'll depart for Ordos.

July 9-Sally was on Los Famosos

July 6th- Sally was interviewed for the second time on Sigue La Noche.



June 30- Sally was interviewed on the show Divertido con Jochy, a hit show in the Dominican Republic. She talks about her diet and her work outs and she also talks about working as a volunteer for Disney in Dominican Republic. She also sings a bit, possibly hinting that she'll perform in Talent for Miss World.

On May 14th, Miss World Dominican Republic 2012, Jenny Blanco gave up the right to participate in Miss World 2012 after Julia Morley enforced a new age limit and instead offered her the position to be a co-host in the 2012 event being held in Ordos, China. In another emergency casting, the owner of Miss World Dominican Republic, Diany Mota, searched for the most prepared girl she could find due to the lack of preparation time she now had. This girl happened to be Sally Aponte Tejada, who was scheduled to participate in Miss Supranational 2012 but coincidentally gave up this right the same day that Jenny Blanco was dethroned. This sparked a bunch of rumors saying she was going to Miss World, which was now proven true on June 11th, 2012 in the opening of Grappa Restaurant at 7pm.

Sally has pageant experience, finishing as top 10 in Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2011 and winning the Miss Supranational Dominican Republic title (3rd place) at Reinas Nacional de Belleza 2011 (which also crowns Miss World and International) before the franchise was handed over to Luis Trujillo. Sally was born in the U.S. but moved to the Dominican Republic and has lived in Salcedo/Hermanas Mirabal for most of her life. She is a student of Social Communication and Culinary Arts and is a part time fashion/fitness model.Will be crowned Monday Night at 7pm in a cocktail party at Grappa Restaurant.

Already rumors are saying that it's Sally Aponte, who renounced her Miss Supranational title to supposedly compete in another contest (originally people said she was going to compete in Body competitions, but who knows).

I mean she used to be pretty but she did something with her face, she looks ... odd now... like if she went under a surgery but I can't dectet what she retouched I think it was her nose and upper lip... I don't know, I used to like this girl when she competed against Dalia but I am not that sure now...
