He did explain in the next line. he doesn't mean they are the same or similar. He means they come across the same way. Super amazing in photos where they are photoshopped and edited but in candids a bit of a letdown compared to the edited photo. They are beautiful but don't end up being standouts at MU. Don't take it personally i liked chelsea, especially since i love it when canada sends brunettes. But neither of them come across great in candids. Although of course I have not seen them in real life, so they may come across differently, so i have to consider that. this is obviously based on what we can see from where we are.

I support Jenna 100%!, but I also treat her like I would any other contestant. She is one of the pack, and is scrutinized and judged like all the others. Yes she has been fantastic publicity, but I think that she may place, won't win. She is a lovely girl, quite warm n friendly, but I agree there are a few who would do better representing Canada on the MU stage.

Tonight is prelims night! I know it won't be broadcast but if anyone is attending please to post your thoughts and impressions as soon as you get a chance!

From what I'm seeing I still think Sahar is the one who stands out most. Dajana and Sarah are also two very good possibilities.

Katie has been the one who has disappointed me most. She is very lifeless and her video interview was dull at the best of times.

Wow, awkward.....not the best speaker, they played the music throughout the whole video trying to mask the awkwardness, definitely not her year, she is young, she needs practice. Beautiful but the video is just too bad to hide BOC, even with the music trying to drown her out, she has no presence, but fortunately you can learn that.

I was just blown away with how bad a lot of the videos were, sorry to say Katie's was bad too, too rehearsed, and no flow. Maybe all the hype and media attention is too much for some of the girls

That's pretty brutal, some of the other girls could use a redo (Katie and Dajana), why are they picking favourites ? Are they saying the title always belongs to Sahar. Disappointed with the organization, talk about unfair, and completely unprofessional, I wonder who made that decision, as I noticed her video seemed really good, but I do remember thinking it wasn't as good before, she looks much more confident in her answers, and better spoken. Does anyone know if this is a common practice

The music was far too loud for Dajana but I actually don't think the interview was as bad as alot of you think it was. I think she was just being honest in the answers that she did give... I don't have any issue with it at all and I think those interview issues would be cleared up by Miss Universe anyways with the right training and skill set.

Even though I am a big Sahar fan, I certainly can't understand why she would be given a chance to do her video interview over again either. That to me shows blatant disrepect for the other girls who's interviews weren't as strong and is now leading me to believe barring a complete and utter disaster that this finally might be the year that someone from somewhere other than Ontario wins it, but that's still not fair to the other girls...

Especially now if Davila consents to giving Sahar a redo on the video candid, I think she's got an upper hand if she's the one he's got his eye on... He only makes exceptions to the rule if he really takes to someone. Sahar is a veteran of this event, this is about her 4th time competing and she nearly won it back in 2008. I wasn't a fan of hers back then, but she went and did her homework and now looks absolutely stunning in all of her candids and shots that I see. Dajana is consistent, she's beautiful and looks solid but she's just a little bit green around the gills, but then again if she wins too, Canada stands a good chance of getting back to the semis with her too. Sarah, I love as a person, she's such a sweetheart but facially her nose is just a bit off and that smile needs work, but she's absolutely gorgeous too. Suzette is well trained, but her competing at Miss Philippines concerns me, I don't think she really loves Canada and just wants a title to advance herself more than Canada. Katie, well what can I say, as soon as I saw the contestant list, I thought she was the favorite, she's had extensive work and training done but to me, she is just falling flat. Her candids expose her weaknesses facially, her interview was utterly flat and lifeless. I have Jenna in the top 10 purely for the political factor.

I'm open to changing these after hearing/seeing about what happens in prelims tonight! Can't wait to hear all about it.
