BAD YEAR FOR DOMINICAN PAGEANTRY

Carlina Duran was dethrone due to a past marriage that is against the Miss Universe rules/regulations.

Jenny Blanco is forced to give up her crown (although she is now co-hosting Miss World) because the Miss World organization has decided to be stricter with the age limit of 25 (she just turned 27).

Sally Aponte just renounced her participation in Miss Supranational today(less than a day after Jenny announced she is giving her crown)!

Perla Vargas, Miss Petite Dominican Republic (current Miss Teen Universe Petite) gave up her crown due to inconsolable differences a few weeks ago.

Mio Almonte who was a big favorite for Miss Dominican Republic 2012 was dethroned several months ago due disagreements with her org (Miss RDUS)


Same with Mr. Dominican Republic, Mathews Vazquez and Mr. Isla Saona (a Dominican Island), Joel Perez.


These is really sad. 7 people have had to give up their crown and there are still more pageants to go!
I mean, I can't say I've liked all these people but after a while you grow attach to some of them and it's just heartbreaking to hear such news...
