After viewing the photos, both candid and professionally shot I have come to the conclusion that Dajana does not like to smile, that is a huge disadvantage. She is gorgeous but does not smile, hopefully she figures that out before the competition. I like Suzette Hernandez she is absolutely stunning, she really stands out to me as the favourite, Sahar doesn't even crack my top 5, Katie does, but I really would like to see a non-Ontario girl win (Katie gets lots of attention because she is in the east (as with Dajana)-kind of like the Toronto maple leafs even though their team is not as good as other Canadian teams), I feel like the western provinces deserve a little more attention. I would like to see more of Adwoa, and Ela they both look stunning but there has not been recent photos or candid of either of them, only photos from a few years ago (Adwoa) and little of Ela. I also like Sarah Harrison after reading her Bio, I think she is just an amazing person (some of the Bio's were absolutely horrible and really demonstrated some girls egos and highlighted their bad personality traits (if it was a job interview a lot of beautiful girls on here would not be hired). Sarah came across as a genuinely nice person, I really think you have to put the Bio's together with the photo and when you do that; most of the peoples top ten on here, are clearly not top ten. I really think personality, and looks need to be examined for predicting success. Till I see more photos of other girls, Suzette Hernandez is my top pick

See now in this photo, Katie and Dajana look absolutely fantastic! Easily top 15 material at Miss Universe. That's if they look like that! Dajana I think is more consistent in terms of what we see in looks, she's solid all around the board. Katie at times can look fabulous and then other times, her photos make me shrug and think she'll be just another clapper at MU. Sarah looks fabulous too, Sahar is a bombshell. I think those 4 are locks for the top 5.

I agree with a lot of people’s Top 5...These same beautiful girls are on everyone’s radar for sure. As the pageant week approaches here’s how I see it.

Dajana is lovely but, needs a few years to grow up...right now she comes across as one of the “popular high school girls” a bit spoilt. Sahar and Suzette are gorgeous but, both 26 and short (5’7 & 5’8), and Suzette seems to just want to win a crown no matter which country she represents. (Check 2010 & 2012 youtube interviews of her and you’ll see what I mean.) So for me, that narrows it down to Sarah and Katie who are both tall and both 100% Canadian born. They both would look like Miss Canada. Sarah is my choice for the crown...if she wins...she will go far at MU and will NOT be “just another clapper”

Always checking around... found these candid photos of Sarah (in blue) volunteering at yet another charity event... this one called “Princess Tea Party” to benefit the Children’s Wish Foundation. This lady is obviously a true philanthropist with a big heart. She looks genuine...you can see she is enjoying herself.

You are so right...Sarah Harrison does have the Laury Thielman vibe...and Laury placed 8th at MU last year. I am convinced Sarah should win the crown...she is Canada’s best shot at MU for a high placement. All evidence thus far shows that she is not only naturally beautiful but also intelligent, articulate and has a killer (real) body. Sarah is a model, actress and philanthropist...so she knows how to conduct herself well.

So interested to see how this plays out...this may be the year that people will see that this competition is not slanted towards Ontario.

The official contest hasn't started yet. All the ladies should be making their trip to Toronto and be reaching here by the 11th, the latest they'll be coming in is the 12th. The contest starts on the 11th and the first two to three days of the competition is spent doing the Fadil shots, Swimsuit/Evening gown shots (they did it last year so it may happen this year) and finally the interviews. So you can expect the Fadil shots to be up sometime around the 13th and the interviews to be up later on that week.

The date I mentioned above for the Fadil shots aren't something that is official, it is purely speculation since that was about the speed they were up in years prior.

My gawd, is it just me or are some of the finalists from Ontario, how do I put this gently, voluptuous?! Two ladies stand out in that province namely Katie and Sahar though I prefer the former over the latter. I also like Christina White, Alyson Lozoff and Sarah Harrison.

One thing that's unsettling is the fact that MUCanada is notorious for making some mediocre choices in the past few years, so I would venture it'll be the same disappointing outcome again. =( Prove me wrong Canada!

Somebody mentioned about selecting a rep who apparently carries "unique" attributes that would make her stand out, but I would argue that in years '08 and '09, the chosen reps qualify as exotic and I thought were extremely beautiful, but ended up missing the cut in MU. With that said, having that exotic look could go either way, usually unnoticed at Miss Universe, but I definitely see nothing wrong with my girl Katie!
