Now there is a new controversy surrounding at Miss Dominican Republic Universe, about Carlina Duran dethronement because she was married 3 years ago but divorced after that. First of all, they have different situations..past married life and passport issue...BIG DIFFERENCE.

Yes, I know but recently MUO is now tending to change some of the rules and regulations like that transgender controversy.

According to MUO rules and regulations:
CAN CONTESTANTS BE MARRIED?
No, contestants may not be married or pregnant. They must not have ever been married, not had a marriage annulled nor given birth to, or parented, a child. The titleholders are also required to remain single throughout their reign.
Pageant rule and regulations has changed only to, allowing transgender women to compete but it has not publish yet.

she MUST sue! If rules were changed for a transsexual woman I don't see why they can not be changed for a DIVORCED one... MUO opened the pandora box with Jenna's issue so now they have to stop generilizing, is time the rules change FOREVER, for good, for once and for all.

If MUO will modify that ruling allowing divorced, annulled and or has been married contestants. They should be ashamed to Miss Philippines, Miriam Quiambao, Miss Universe 1999 First Runner Up.
