Dajana isn't in that group is she? I'm still concerned with Katie though, some pictures I've seen are just spectacular, but these ones, I don't think she'd be anywhere near the semis again. She's just not screaming OMG to me. I don't know... There's something missing.

Dajana didn`t go, There is a bunch of GTA events happening leading up to the pageant and some girls will be at some its optional. As for Katie she is`t screaming OMG cuz hair makeup and dress`s aren`t the best that one black lace thing does`t fit right looks big ( all not her choice) and she looks more ```Model`` here then pageant contender.But Its the hair style that is throwing you off the way its pulled back with the bump. meh don`t be concerned she will be spectacular when the week starts. On a Side note: Did you notice how much weight she has lost?

I don't doubt Katie is a beautiful girl. Of course she is. I've seen some spectacular photos of her that makes me think she could be top 15 at Miss Universe, but then there's photos that make me think she could end up like another Inga Skaya or Marianna Valente. Canada (with the exception of Semikina) has not had anyone in the last 6 years who's been capable of placing top 15. Katie I think may be one of those, but so can Dajana, Sarah and Sahar. I think those 4 are a lock for the top 5 with the last spot wide open at the moment. I really hope we can reverse the trend this year. I miss having delegates like Cecile, Glebova and Panikian. Canada should be up there competing with the best!

Haha totally agree with you and she won't have any bad makeup hair etc that week and your top girls I also agree only not too sure about Dajana being top 5 - I would say top 12. she has potential if she brings more fire then she did at the GTA.

Not sure if people have visited the first page...or this topic, but I've been updating the contestant profiles quite often. Most of the contestants have pictures up, but I'm still working on having pictures for all of the ladies. You'll see that there are some overlooked contestants, even I was surprised with some of their new photos - Chelsey Smith for example. For the past few years I've been following MUC, I've learned to never trust the initial pictures on the website...which is why I created all the profiles so that everyone can get to know the contestants along with me. So this is just a reminder to all of you to visit the first page whenever you can since it will be changing every now and then. You may also feel the need to reassess your choices too!

Katie does look a lot better, but in these recent photos, she doesn't look that great. It seems like it's just her styling that makes her look older, so it's fixable. Also it wouldn't hurt if she got some more color on her skin, light a very light tan.

Generally, for MUC, the best time to pick favourites and generate predictions is right when the competition starts. It's at that time when all the competitors bring out everything in their arsenal and we'd see that reflected in the pictures. So I'd give everyone that one month to really find that one look that suits them.

Jenna Talackova is officially reinstated as a delegate for Miss Universe Canada. She's now up on the official roster of delegates, I'll be updating the profiles on the first page to include her.

I think for Miss Universe Canada, you don't necessarily have to be a runner-up to be sent to other pageants. They sent Elena Semikina, Chanel Beckenlehner and Katie Starke to Miss International and all of them made it to top 12 the year that they were sent to the pageant.

She's a model named Tamara Chemij [http://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/1872461/viewall]. Not a participant unfortunately. I never knew Nova Scotia had such hot girls! They should take a page from Sarah's book and join in a later year.

Saw a bit on CTV Morning Live earlier this week with Sarah Harrison modelling for “Judith & Charles” along with Tamara Chemij (looks like a shorter version of Katie Starke) and Jennifer Ripley. These 3 girls were modelling in support of a Fundraiser this designer was hosting to benefit Ovarian Cancer. Here is the backstage photo from the designer’s FB page. Sarah is so tall, elegant, exotic and judging by the posted photos of the SOS Fundraiser Sarah hosted in Halifax looks like she has something special ...she looks really charming! ... She may be the only MUC finalist selected from Nova Scotia this year. But, Sarah is not the only beauty from Halifax for sure. BOC would do well to look outside Ontario more often.
