Bueno tienes razón, entre las pocas que hay por el momento, ella es de las mejores facialmente, habrá que ver cuándo se presenten todas si ella termina siendo la más bella jejeje Pero de que estará cerca de la corona pues sí, y más cuándo viene con David Acosta, osea, no dejará break para nadie.

Not officially confirmed, but I was told that Yanitza Rivera, Miss Loíza Universe 2011 who was a semifinalist in MUPR 2011, will compete again this year. I little birdie told me that Desirée is looking for a new face or a black girl this year, so, that's why she's coming back.

I agree... there are a lot of gorgeous black girls here that could potentially represent us, but that girl I don't like. However, a black girl has been recently crowned MU and so I don't know if sending a black girl will be a wise move, specially since there is always a huge gap between the years in which a black delegate wins the international crown. If we were to crown a black girl next year, I hope to see someone like Miss Colombia 2001 Vanessa Mendoza!

Well, about this transsexuals in MU issue, well here's some news from Puerto Rico. Basically it says that Desirée has been communicating with Paula all these days and she has asked about the new rule and they have not said anything about changing the rules yet, so nothing is official yet. Desirée also expressed that she is not in favor of transsexuals joining MU, she says that MU has a trajectory of 61 years of participants that are naturally born females and it's part of the tradition, just like it's tradition that the Boyscouts are all boys. Tradition gives the pageant and the organization an identity and she believes that with a change like this, the pageant will change drastically.

Deborah Carthy Due, our Miss Universe 1985, is also not in favor, she says that this is all publicity, that Trump is trying to use this situation, since every year it's very difficult for him to sell the pageant worldwide so he would do anything for publicity. She says that to her, this is not correct, not that she discriminates transsexuals, but she doesn't find it fair for the other girls, since logically, these transsexuals will obviously receive more publicity.

Hector Joaquin also expressed that he is not in favor also, he supports the LGBT community, but equality is one thing and pageants are other. He said that the question is, will transsexuals accept women in their pageants? And if we're going to talk about equality, then why MU don't accept women with 30 y/o or more, married women, divorced women, women with kids, because if we're going to talk about equality for transsexuals, we have to talk about equality for all women as well.
