Maybe if we write this down a million times people will understand!
You are all going fucking crazy and saying MUO is over... please, that's so over dramatic.
Nothing has changed, we don't have a SINGLE transsexual officially elected.

Vraiment dommage...

There's countries that will obviously withdraw, as if MU needs more withdraws... Sorry to say this, but like many have said, it's the beginning of the end of MU, and of course, maybe the first time we see a transsexual in MU the ratings will reach the sky because it's something never seen, but much more negative stuff will come with it also. Also, if this happened to MU, we'll start to see more transsexuals asking for the same benefits for all the pageants, so, it's gonna start sooner or later, beauty pageants for real women will cease to exist sooner or later. Oh, and i'm not being dramatic and i'm not exaggerating, i'm just looking at the future, at what will eventually happen after this decision, because obviously, none of that will happen in just two years or so...
BTW, in Puerto Rico, our National Director already said that she won't allow Transsexuals, she said, that before allowing transsexuals, Trump should give opportunities to other women, like women with kids or married, because MU celebrates the beauty and feminity of women, and all women should have the same opportunities...

I couldn't have expressed the problem better. Of course this in the slow end of the prestige of the Miss Universe pageant. I just don't want to wake up one day and learn that one of the oldest and best beauty pageant in the whole word has been won by someone who used to be a man. This is not about tolerance or equality here, but there is a place for everything in life and I don't think transsexuals should take part in a pageant made for real women.
The thing is that, the past week, we've seen plenty of comments against transgender people in a negative way mostly, but we have to separate those two issues because they are not the same. I don't have anything against transsexual people because I can understand that they wanted to change sex for a X or Y reason, but it doesn't give them the right to be part of something that isn't made for them.
MUO just made the wrong choice here. Plus, I believe this is pretty hypocritical because obviously they just wanted people to believe that they respect human rights and everything, but I'm pretty sure they won't allow a transgender woman to be part of the semi finalists and even less win the crown...so the whole story is pointless, they just did it BAD!

Sad. Man being weak and proud, succumbed to this rebellion, for 30 pieces of silver and fame to the detriment of his soul.

Plastic surgery is not banned in Miss Universe, but it can be banned on national level pageants, such as Miss France.karissa wrote:sunriseson wrote:WTF!!!! every part of her body are FAKE... even her Vi jay jay is fake...

and for natural born women plastic surgery is fobidden in MU.
So I don't understand why he can join the pageant when 99% is plastic and surgery.
Ehh I got headache by this...
Is MU organization afraid of beeing criticized by NOT having him there?

Shamster wrote:I knew this was going to happen.
But look at it this way: MUO said they'll accept transgendered women, but there's nothing that says that national pageants can't bar them from competing. Allowing transgender people will be up to the national pageant and if someone in those countries wants to challenge it, then they can. But I don't expect much change from this.

Religion and arguments based on religion and faith do not work in a court of law where the constitution dictates absolute "Separation of State and Religion." So, why bother?

On ABC-TV’s 20/20 tonight (Friday), Donald Trump — interviewed by Barbara Walters — confirmed that Jenna Talackova can compete in the Miss Universe Canada pageant, and if she wins, can go on to compete in the Miss Universe international pageant, respresenting this country.
Trump also confirmed that women who have transitioned can compete in Miss Universe pageants in the future.
This marks a precedent in the history of the Miss Universe pageant born in 1952.![]()
