It began with our gorgeous girl next door Miss Jennifer Hawkins, then it was the sassy Erin McNaught, the elegant Laura Dundovic, the stunning Rachael Finch, the passionate and loveable Jesinta Campbell, the angelic Scherri-Lee Biggs, and on Friday 8th June 2012, we will crown the new representative for Australia who will take stage later this year at Mr. Donald Trump’s international final.
Held inside the luxurious Grand Ballroom at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, 35 finalists will take part in a dazzling fashion parade showcasing these Australian delegates for 2012, where all contenders will be judged on Swimwear, Eveningwear, and the Question. With this black tie gala event and an impressive array of judges including Australian television & film actor Vince Colosimo, high end fashion designer Wayne Cooper, model & actor Annalise Braakensiek, choreographer and judge from Dancing with the Stars Jason Coleman, television presenter Naomi Robson, the crowned Miss Universe Australia from 1983 Simone Cox and more, it will no doubt be a hard job to decide only one winner.
35 of Australia’s most beautiful women will all be vying for the chance to be crowned Miss Universe Australia for 2012, competing for the chance to wear that magnificent $30,000 Temelli Jewellery crown which our 2011 Miss Universe Australia winner Scherri-Lee Biggs will hand over and crown one of these 35 contenders, beginning a new reign for Miss Universe Australia in 2012.

Jek, I was at the QLD heats and in contact with Sereno (Sydney) and Sophia (Perth), and all I can say is YES, WA is getting better. However, their are a lot of new talent in NSW and QLD. Not to mention our other states and territory. I'm confident of another Miss U Australia placement for 2012 @ MU
