Miss World taking the lead again?

Is it just me thinking that at least the last two winners of Miss World are exceeding their equivaents of Miss Universe competition?

Honestly, Ksenia is an enormous beauty and one of the best Misses ever (no matter if she is wearing make-up or not) and Zilin turned out to become more an more beautiful comparing her to Riyo Mori.

Well, eventually Miss Universe is more spectacular, but if Miss World is beginning choosing the better competitors, then I am seeing it in the lead.

Until now I think MU is superior than MW for the followig reasons:

1. PRODUCTION: no comparation!
3. MARKETING: we see more the MU winners than the MW queens
4. PROMOTION: page Web, Pictures, events, etc...
5. BEAUTY: Most of the MU are better than world... (with little exceptions!)

I´m only agree with you in 2007: I like more Zi Lin tha Riyo. Zi Lin is spectacular! A really asian Barby, sweet face and a good Top Model body...

In 2008: Even if I think the beauty of Ksenia is gorgeous, but she´s alway with the same hairstyle and bad pictures... Dayana has more the beauty queen aura, charismatic, sponataneus and elegant.

So we must wait and see what happen in the next MU and MW to assert your point of view...

well, its undeniable that ksenia is beautiful, but i think if you would compare the two, Dayana would really catch more attention that Ksenia, Dayana is a total package....

MW can by no means be comparable with MU
i can only agree with u on 2007, since Zilin is more beautiful than riyo
but actually the packaging of riyo is way better than Zilin
not to mention the production and the total package of MU

sorry but i totally cant agree with u on 2008, since Dayana is waaaaaaaay more beautiful and charming than Ksenia
i notice that in close-ups, Ksenia is somehow horrible
bad skin, imbalanced eyes and horrible eye line

the only thing that MW outperforms MU is the number of participating countries
but those countries are those sending contestants who are totally with no competitiveness

IMO, Miss World pageant sucks big time!!!!

Compared to Miss Universe, there's no swimsuit/long gown competition during the finale. The selection of winners is really questionable!!!!

This year, I hafta admit that there are loads of superb beauties that competed in Miss World & MOST of them were wasted!!!!!!!!!!

i love miss Universe and will pick MS.Universe by a mile than mS.world..i grew up loving this pageant...became a fan and even acting like one of contestants and remembering even the names of each contestants ..!! haha...(and i think we all did that!!?)

love dayana..so fresh and so charming...very adorable..wasnt a fan of ksenia..(really!)but i guess there is no way for them to be compared or is it just for me coz i love dayana big time??!!! ...

I think we are just influenced how these pageant organizations ( MS U and MS W ) have run theirs.
I believe that it matter's pageants popularity and influences and how it created an impact to all pageant fans, with the back up of Media coverage and when they crowned their winners I believe our perception to the winners influences how we feel and see each pageant organizations.

I have lost interest in MW. They've been ignoring our best delegates. Maybe we should boycott MW and not send a delegate. Or at least, send the least deserving. That way, the deserving ones won't be wasted. Production-wise, MU is still the premiere beauty pageant for me.

frankly speaking....miss world sucks big time!
first,how thy choose the winner is a big mystery.there is no competition to determine the winner.n even the q and a round is also improper!....it has no meaning!...i sometimes feel tht mw is rigged!

on the other hand,miss universe is what u can say a proper pageant...proper competition.even the scores r shown to maintain transparency.the question and answer round is sensible n we get a convincing winner all the time.for all who feel riyo was not gud...watch mu2007 pageant again.u wil feel the difference!....mu keeps the viewers glued to tv until the winner is announced....

Miss World is taking the LEAD towards BOREDOM.....to SLEEPLAND and to nightmares on how they choose their set of semifinalists....

Of course, the trend has not been broken... you see almost the same set of countries being called every year. And it is so difficult for an Asian to enter the semis and win except of course if the ribbon is India. Most of the time, the slots for one or two Asians are just token slots. Miss World keeps the European pride alive. And its FAVORITISM is as clear as daylight.

Miss World always has the strongest batch of contestants every year. But the production of Miss World is boring. I respect Miss World more than Miss Universe but i like to watch Miss Universe more than Miss World.

Miss Universe for me..

This year, while watching Miss World, I just couldn't bear it and fell asleep... I swear... by the time I woke up, Julia Morley was anouncing the winners... and as some of you have been saying, There were some questionable choices Mrs Morley made... and Ksenia, well, she doesn't have the spark Dayana has.. So, Miss World, I feel that the pageant is just becoming obsolete and boring in its format.
