I just have to laugh loud here...there are a lot of Philipinos around here !! Do not get me wrong...some of the younger ladies are really beautiful ...wondering how come you send ladies like Venus Raj to MU ( NO OFFENCE to Venus herself and her fans...it is only my opinion !! ) .. what I mean is there a lot of these gorgeous Latina looking actresses (probably some have Spanish bloods) and some younger acrtresses who definitely are MU worthy candidates !!

It's unavoidable. Filipinos comprise more than 50% of the members here. I heard that missosology's roots started as an all-out Filipino site until it became international. Pageantry and entertainment are part of the Filipinos' psyche and they make us happy despite the problems the country is facing. There are indeed many beautiful Filipino actresses - morenas and mestizas attributable to Spanish colonialization - and it is their choice whether they join a pageant or not. We can't blame them, as the decision is theirs. But for some Filipinas, joining a beauty pageant is a ticket to bigger breaks such as the entertainment industry.

The truth is, IT'S ONLY HERE IN MISSO FORUM AND IN THE MODELLING INDUSTRY WHERE THERE ARE FILIPINOS WHO FIND VENUS RAJ BEAUTIFUL. Outside of this forum, MAJORITY OF FILIPINOS THINK SHE'S EITHER ORDINARY OR DOWNRIGHT UGLY BUT GENERAL REACTION IS THEY ARE THANKFUL SHE ENDED THE DROUGHT IN M.U.
