That's a good decision, because I'm pretty sure there won't be a Mister World pageant in 2014 (the next pageant is likely to be held in early 2015).

Lebanon is a powerhouse in male pageant, but Mr. Lebanon 2013 is not quite my cup of mocca. Ex was a Lebanese, I am quite fluent on how Lebanese guys work.

The 1st runner-up, Elie Bou Mosleh, will represent Lebanon at Manhunt International 2014.

Joe Sader (the 4th runner-up) will represent Lebanon at Mr Universe Model 2014.


PS It will be the first time for Lebanon to participate in this contest.

Is it a lebanese culture that all Lebanese men have beard or what?

Yes, unfortunately. Having beard is in vogue in Lebanon since a decade, most Lebanese men became lazy to shave, and it is affecting Lebanon's chances of placing in international pageants. Because of it, Lebanon was unplaced in Mister International 2010 and 2011 and in Manhunt International 2011 and 2012.
I think this bad habit needs to stop, at least for the sake of international pageants that require clean, shaved faces...

Well, let's not hastily attribute the beards and/or staches for their non-placement in the competitions before. Yes, they do have beards and staches in the Middle East, and that is the "IT" thing among them, especially among Arab gents. I've seen so many who really look good with beards than without, so I think saying that having beard is unfortunate is plainly just a matter of preference.

Furthermore, they do have beards not because they're lazy to shave, but because it is part of their grooming. They even style it, just like we do on our hair, like the images below:







You see, it's not all that bad if done the right way. Liking it or not is a matter of preference.
